ERM is hiring Lead Wetland Delineators for projects located across the US. The role of a wetland delineator requires technical skills, as well as strong organizational and communication skills. Field crews will conduct fieldwork in a safe manner in alignment with ERM and the client's safety expectations. This is a full-time (60 hours/week), limited-term role with a duration of 3 months. RESPONSIBILITIES: Delineating wetlands per the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual and applicable Regional Supplements. ERM is hiring a Community Outreach Liaison in Buckingham County, VA. The role of a Community Outreach Liaison is critical to the success of infrastructure construction. This role is an on-site field position that will collaborate closely with project management, communications, external and government affairs, client, and consulting staff throughout the project planning and permitting phases, aiming to facilitate effective communication with landowners, community leaders, and other interested stakeholders. This is a part-time (10-20 hours per week), limited-term role for 1 year, extendable. The Liaison will take directions from communications, external affairs, and government affairs clients and consulting staff and will support on-the-ground, day-to-day communication between the project team and local communities. The Liaison should independently troubleshoot issues as they arise and act as a resource for the community; all to gain local insight that may inform project development and impact mitigation. RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibilities of this field-based position include: Preparing documentation to support requests for variances from environmental permits. Preparing and conducting environmental training for construction personnel. Conducting field inspections, monitoring and field survey work as directed. Interacting with and serving as a point of contact with agency officials, regulatory agency staff, landowners, contractors, clients and other project members and conducting required agency notifications.
