Proficient in fitting straight pipe runs between brazed, welded or mechanical fittings. May lay out and mark points on parts or subassemblies using rules, square, scribe or templates. May position pieces be welded or brazed into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. Knowledge of the processes and procedures necessary for the proper removal of old equipment and piping systems with minimal damage to surrounding materials. Maintain certification in the brazing procedure(s) as required by Quality Assurance Manager. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
