Apprenticeship Requirements Apprenticeships are required to work a full-time schedule as an apprentice, and work under the supervision of an experienced and certified construction journeyworker. Must be able to be enrolled in school for a full semester. Semesters usually run from February to May and September to December. Cost of courses will be covered by ZTEX, promissory time is one year from the start of the semester. Must be able to attend various skill training workshops and specialized classes in area of interest within the construction field. Upon completion must also be able to prepare presentations, evaluation tests, and reports. Must possess excellent time management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to build and maintain long-term business relationships. Must be able to visit different locations and job sites. Must be able to work well in a team.
