Requirements Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing preferred. • Valid plumbing license. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing with a strong emphasis on facilities maintenance. • Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces. • Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to plumbing and facilities maintenance. • Previous experience working in a high-tech or research facility preferred. • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus. • Knowledge of green building practices and sustainability initiatives preferred.
