Minimum Qualification

Pay Rate: $28.50hr

Level A Plumber

Must meet all the requirements of a B and C level Plumber. Ability to take charge in leadsperson's absence. Show strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to run project from start to finish with detail to material, time, and budget. Ability to keep a good working relationship with outside companies and vendors. Full knowledge of Foster Farms policies (safety, bio security, bird priorities). Ability to cross over and step into different department duties. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other times dictated by weather and Production Departments. Must operate and maintain company vehicle under company guidelines and policies. Level B Plumber

Must be able to meet all C level requirements. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Must have excellent time management skills. Work from blue prints and Layouts to repair or install new plumbing. Must be able to measure/cut/thread material using a pipe threading machine. Must have knowledge of different pipe material (PVC, Copper, Galvanized, ABS, Pex, Fusion). Must have clear understanding of gas and water pressures pertaining to the task at hand. Must have Knowledge of dwellings and break shacks (toilets, sinks, hot water heaters). Must be able to use plumber's nake to clean out clogs and plugged drain lines. Must have knowledge of booster pumps, cool cells, and fogger systems. Must have understanding of underground plumbing (sizing, depth, direction). Must be able to make a material list and complete jobs as needed. Operate a variety of equipment including mini excavators, vacuum trailers, boom lifts etc. Must be able to provide direction and training to C and B level employees. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other times dictated by weather and Live Production Dept. Must be able to assist other employees within our department (with wells, maint, ez-go's, etc.). Level C Plumber

Must have good attendance. Must be able to lift 50 Pounds. Must be able to work from a ladder - Inside trenches. Must have basic knowledge of plumbing tools. Use of basic power tools - sawzall, grinder, drill, impact drill. Must be able to complete work in a timely matter. Must be able to take direction and assist level A and B plumbers. Must have and maintain a California driver's license and an acceptable DMV record. Must work safely and follow all Bio Security requirements. Must have a willingness to learn new tasks and equipment to progress to higher level. Other duties as assigned - General cleaning and housekeeping to ensure safety and sanitation

PLUMBER, Facilities-Repair and Maintenance, to perform plumbing work in all areas of the Institute. This will involve installing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a full range of plumbing systems, including domestic water and drain systems. Will install, maintain, and repair complete plumbing systems including air, gas, and vacuum systems; service, inspect, and repair backflow preventers, sanitary fixtures, and heating units; operate power tools, sewer cleaning machines, hand tools, and plumbing equipment; replace seals in water closets and clean water filter systems; unplug sinks, toilet, and drains; maintain piping and related systems to ensure equipment is in proper working order; and respond to emergency mechanical system calls, including floods. The emphasis of the workload is on preventative maintenance.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; Massachusetts' state plumbing and journeyman's licenses; at least five years' work experience working with Massachusetts' state plumbing license; and valid driver's license. Must be able to work from blueprints, specifications, verbal instruction, or sketches; receive work order assignments, order materials, and complete tasks accurately; provide updates on work order status and written comments provided on work orders upon completion; work effectively and productively with minimal supervision; locate, diagnose, and correct defects and malfunctions on a variety of plumbing systems; and lift weights of up to 50 lbs.
