Repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, and opening clogged drains. Assist external maintenance contractors. Perform fill and drain functions that may be necessary for events and activities Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 5+ years' technical and trade experience in the plumbing field. Assists in filling pipe systems with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking. Assists in installation and repair of plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, water heaters, hot water tanks, and water softeners. Performs maintenance, plumbing and repair work assigned while maintaining a high standard of safety cleanliness, and efficiency. Drives District vehicles to and from work site; obeys all traffic laws. Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties. Maintains confidentiality. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees. Maintains professional growth by attending in-service and meetings as requested/required.
