The incumbent lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and maintains plumbing systems and related equipment for assigned projects.
Base hourly rate of $28/hr - $37/hr
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitates positive interactions with customers by resolving questions and concerns to satisfaction.
Assembles pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
Fills pipes or plumbing fixtures with water/air and observes pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
Reviews blueprints and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
Locates and marks the position of pipe installations, connections, penetrations, and fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as rulers and levels.
Measures, cuts, threads, and bends pipe using hand power tools or machines.
Cuts openings in structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings using hand and power tools.
Hangs steel supports from ceiling joists, or wall structures, to hold pipes in place.
Repairs plumbing, replaces defective washers, mends broken pipes, and opens clogged drains.
Installs underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems.
Inspects equipment, structures, and materials to identify the cause of errors, safety hazards, or other issues, and solutions or escalates them appropriately.
Facilitates knowledge transfer and teaches trade skills to less experienced tradespeople.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of mechanical contracting and service plumber experience.
Must be drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of service plumbing procedures..
Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office and Google products.
Capacity to leverage leadership skills to facilitate learning, teamwork, and collaborative relationships.
Demonstrated understanding of the use of related tools, such as snakes, scopes and cameras.
Must be fluent and able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English.
Valid Driver's License.
Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Completed OSHA 30-Hour Training.
Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
Backflow Certification. (Will be trained if not certified or current certification is inactive.)

Layout, fit, assemble, and install a variety of piping systems according to blueprints, specifications, and job plans.
Cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand tools, power tools, and machines such as saws, pipe cutters, threading machines, and pipe benders.
Assemble and install variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including steel, copper, HDPE, and PVC.
Connect pipes using various methods such as welding, threading, grooved fittings, soldering, brazing, and fusion.
Secure pipes to structures using brackets, clamps, hangers, pipe stand, and anchors.
Perform welding tasks using SMA (Stick), GMAW (MIG). Or GTAW (TIG) in multiple positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead), selecting appropriate methods and tools based on project requirements.
Operate grinders and other tools to prepare materials for welding and ensure clean, accurate joints.
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and best practices.
Follow detailed installation plans and collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Conduct pre-task planning and job hazard analysis before beginning work to identify and mitigate risks.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to supervisors and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Complete any required documentation and paperwork accurately and on time.

Perform welding tasks using SMA (Stick), GMAW (MIG). Or GTAW (TIG) in multiple positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead), selecting appropriate methods and tools based on project requirements.
Operate grinders and other tools to prepare materials for welding and ensure clean, accurate joints.
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and best practices.
Follow detailed installation plans and collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Conduct pre-task planning and job hazard analysis before beginning work to identify and mitigate risks.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations, maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to supervisors and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Complete any required documentation and paperwork accurately and on time.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, external customers, and subcontractors to coordinate work, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Operate and maintain company vehicles in compliance with safety regulations when transporting tools, materials, or traveling to job sites.

Qualifications
Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to bend, twist, climb ladders, and maintain balance while working at heights.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders safely and frequently.
Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces, elevated areas, and outdoor conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated high mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to operate machinery and equipment such as forklifts, Lull, scissor lifts, and other material handling or aerial lift equipment safely and in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
Welding certificate is a plus but not required.
