State Fire is currently looking for a full-time Fire Sprinkler Fitter based in Boise, ID. Ideal candidates have five years of experience with fire sprinkler systems. Your role as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter will include the following responsibilities: · Install various types of sprinkler systems, including wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, and deluge systems. This involves reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to ensure the system is installed correctly. · Regional travel with overnight stays may be required. · 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts, Monday - Friday. Requirements: · Completion of a Fire Sprinkler Apprenticeship program preferred. · Possess, or can obtain, any applicable state licensing. · Knowledge of fire and building codes, OSHA, and other regulations pertaining to the job. MSHA preferred. · Five or more years of experience in the fire sprinkler trade. · Basic computer and software skills. · Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, with acceptable driving record. · Must have and maintain an acceptable national criminal background check. · Must be able to pass a pre-employment urinalysis, and any further randomly selected tests. · Ability to communicate effectively in English. · Ability to work flexible hours and on-call, when necessary.
