Position Overview: We are in search of trained professionals who specialize in copper and galvanized plumbing needs and piping of various properties, such as multifamily apartments, and commercial buildings. Work includes travel to various job sites to diagnose and solve plumbing issues. Plumbers respond to emergencies like burst pipes and perform routine maintenance to keep plumbing systems safe and functional while preventing future problems like leaks or rusted pipe fittings. Plumbers source the right materials to help company maintain their plumbing, enabling appropriate drainage and water flow for indoor and outdoor areas, they may enter crawl spaces to solve problems with pipes and make sure they connect properly to indoor plumbing fixtures like water heaters, toilets and sinks. Essential Duties: Carry out regular maintenance of plumbing systems at commercial and residential sites Re-piping from galvanized to copper plumbing systems, Perform installation of plumbing systems at new properties Inspect previously installed plumbing systems at commercial and residential sites Perform any necessary repairs to previously installed systems Answer calls for plumbing issues from general contractors Keep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for the various plumbing systems a company installs and maintains Work carefully to follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections Communicate well with clients to ensure client satisfaction Communicate well with team members and fellow employees Manage a work log Keep detailed reports of work done at various job sites Provide information regarding plumbing system upkeep to clients Following safeguards, rules and regulations Collateral 1. Job Description We are looking for honest, responsible, & technical individuals who can handle the work load of a busy operation of a Service and repair plumbing company. We are looking for residential and commercial service technicians who like to help people and can sell service. The Plumbing Service Technician will provide general Plumbing repairs and services. The typical work week is eight to ten hour workdays, 5 days per week with regular weekend work. Requirements: Must meet or exceed company minimums. Must maintain a clean appearance and a positive attitude. Must be able to install electrical hardware such as junction boxes circuit breakers, and wiring devices. Must be able to lift 100 pounds. The Maintenance - Plumber performs duties related to the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures for drainage and water systems throughout the facility. Repairs or replaces defective parts via soldering or pro-press community trade standards. Install plumbing systems such as sinks, toilets, tubs and supports, hangers for plumbing fixtures and pipes. Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure plumbing equipment is fully functional. In addition, monitors pressure gauges and plumbing related equipment. Performs testing of plumbing systems, continuously identifies and repairs any leaks and/or deficiencies. Takes conscious ownership for work and takes a proactive, deliberate, and thoughtful approach regarding work activities. Demonstrates appropriate use of independent judgement and decision making. Demonstrates excellent customer service at all times. Maintains confidentiality in accordance with hospital/corporate policies and HIPAA privacy regulations. Requirements Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing preferred. • Valid plumbing license. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing with a strong emphasis on facilities maintenance. • Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces. • Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to plumbing and facilities maintenance. • Previous experience working in a high-tech or research facility preferred. • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus. • Knowledge of green building practices and sustainability initiatives preferred.
