Under general supervision, the Plumbing Team Member is responsible for skilled plumbing work in the maintenance, repair, and installation of gas, water, sewer, storm drains, water wells, and irrigation, and performs related duties as required in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures. Work duties will include plumbing work in all Park facilities, buildings, equipment, offices, housing, food service facilities and equipment, and Park attractions including amusement rides and fountains. The Plumbing Employee is also responsible for the maintenance, repair, construction, and daily checks of the plumbing functions related to Lagoon A Beach Water Park in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.
Requirements
The Plumbing Employee will be working around high noise levels resulting from the rides and power equipment required to do the job. The Plumbing Worker must be able to remain focused on the job while dealing with interruptions from guest contact. The Plumbing Employee will be assigned to specific trades, and must be able to operate equipment and make repairs on the Park following the Company's policies and procedures.
During training periods, the Plumbing Employee must be able to read and assimilate information provided in the maintenance and construction manual, the Seasonal Employee Handbook, the Lagoon Policies and Procedures Manual, purchased equipment manuals and drawings, as well as to comprehend verbal instructions from trainers.
The Plumbing Employee must be able to read, interpret and work from blueprints; prepare rough sketches of work and estimate material and labor; select proper materials to be used; skillfully use the proper tools.
The Plumbing Employee will be using a variety of power tools and heavy machinery to accomplish the job duties including installing and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures; operating and maintaining pumps and water treatment systems, hot and cold water systems and similar components, water wells, and irrigation fixtures; making periodic inspections of systems of safe and efficient operation; estimate material and labor, and total cost of repair and installation jobs.
The Plumbing Employee will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, construction, and daily checks on water park attractions in accordance to the Company's policies and procedures.
The Plumbing Employee will plan details of working procedures by determining replacement needs or new material required and develops a logical approach to correct the problem.
The Plumbing Employee will be required to have knowledge of plumbing theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of materials and principles of operation of equipment. Starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with Company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.

Installs, repairs and tests RP back flow preventers and vacuum breakers on equipment and double checks valves on all potable water connections as required by the IPC code and Utah rules and regulations.
Performs assigned preventive maintenance checks on valves, pumps, water heaters, dilution tanks, and other operating equipment.
Maintains and periodically updates equipment data history using computer software and applications.
May install, maintain and repair medical gas systems such as oxygen, breathing air, patient vacuum, waste anesthetic vacuum, etc.
May install, maintain and repair boiler, or steam distribution systems used for humidification and sterilization.
May be required to be on a weekly on-call rotation schedule 24-7 to perform emergency repairs at odd hours and during weekends, as needed.

Pay range for this position: $38.00 - $41.00/hr, depending on experience and education, Journeyman Plumber License.
This position qualifies for the Sign-On Incentive and Bi-Annual Retention Incentive for new employees who fill positions that have been hard to fill and will be working within HQF Facility Maintenance.
The retention incentive will be contingent upon the employee's continued employment with the HQF Facilities Maintenance Team during the specified period.
For the new hire to receive the retention incentive, they must meet performance expectations throughout the program, determined by their manager during 1:1s and evaluations. **Physical Requirements**
+ Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
+ Frequent interactions with customers that require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
+ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.
+ Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
+ For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
+ Bending, lifting, stooping, crawling, laying, sitting, walking, climbing.
+ Use of hand and power tools, proper use of hearing and eye protection.
+ Exposure to extreme temperatures in nature, work in noisy or constricted spaces, exposure to odors and smells.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PLUMBING HELPER
As a Plumbing Helper, you provide crucial support to our experienced plumbers while learning the skills of the trade. Preparing for each job, you help select the appropriate tools and equipment for the project. Evaluating the needs of each job with the guidance of your supervisor, you assist with preparing cost estimates for clients. During each project, you provide labor and support along the way, helping the plumber ensure that all work is in accordance with federal, state, and local plumbing codes.
At the end of each job, you help clean up the job site and leave the customers' property even cleaner than you found it. You follow your supervisor's instructions and take on increasing responsibility as you learn new skills. Your satisfaction comes from learning on the job and advancing your career!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PLUMBING HELPER
Ability to use basic plumbing tools
Solid math skills for taking accurate measurements
