Accordingly, the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate with prior projects the ability to complete with third-parties scopes of work similar to the following: Pre-construction / DesignAssist Field surveys: verify materials, sizes, routing, valve locations, fixture counts, pressure, and condition of CW/HW/HWR, sanitary/vent, and storm leaders. Provide updated riser diagrams (CW/HW/HWR, sanitary/vent) with pipe sizing and diversity calcs. Submit replacement strategy for domestic water (materials, zones/PRVs, isolation valves) and sanitary rehabilitation plan (CCTV, testing, repair methods). identify required backflow, meters/submeters, pressure regulation (>80 psi), expansion control, and trap primers. Assembles, installs and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes. Cuts and threads pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine. Bends pipe to required angle. Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals and nonmetals using hand tools and power tools. Joins pipe by use of screws, fittings, bolts, solder, plastic solvent and caulks joints. Fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking. Interprets blueprints, works from drawings and/or verbal instructions. Performs all work with adherence to safety procedures. Inspects completed work to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and local building codes. Using arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches, welds together metal components and alloys such as pipelines, boilers for a variety of complex precision assemblies. Joins together components of fabricated sheet metal assemblies; cut, trim, or scarf metal objects to dimensions, as specified by layout, work orders, or blueprints. Requirements High school graduate or equivalent education/experience in trade field.
