Minimum Qualifications:
Licensing: Possess a valid Journeyman Plumber or Master Plumber license from the relevant state licensing board. A Master Plumber license, which requires extensive experience, is often the highest qualification.
Education: Complete a high school diploma or GED, followed by a formal apprenticeship program that can last four to five years. Some candidates may also attend a trade or vocational school.
Experience: Demonstrate several years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial plumbing, with experience levels often dictating license type.
Knowledge: Have a deep understanding of hydraulic systems, water supply and disposal systems, and all applicable building and safety codes.
Safety awareness: A strong commitment to safety and a working knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Residential Plumber Installer Responsibilities
As a Residential Installation Plumber, your primary focus will be building and installing new plumbing systems in newly constructed or renovated homes. Unlike service plumbers-who handle repairs, maintenance, and fixture replacements-you'll be part of the team that brings new homes to life from the ground up.
Your role will include:
Laying out, assembling, and installing complete plumbing systems for water, drain, and gas lines
Reading and interpreting blueprints, building plans, and specifications to ensure accurate installations
Collaborating with general contractors, electricians, and other trade professionals to stay aligned on project timelines
Connecting systems to water supplies, fixtures, appliances, and drainage systems
Ensuring all installations comply with plumbing codes and safety standards
Testing systems for leaks and ensuring full functionality before project completion
Maintaining accurate records of materials used, time spent, and work completed
Loading, transporting, and organizing materials and tools for each project
Maintaining a clean and professional company vehicle and job site
Supporting teammates and assisting on complex or large-scale installations
Completing all required documentation accurately and promptly
Following company safety standards and operational procedures
Requirements & Qualifications
Must have an active TSBPE Tradesman Plumber License or higher
Proven experience in residential plumbing installations or new construction
Ability to read and follow blueprints and specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Professional, dependable, and collaborative work ethic
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass background and drug checks
Willingness to work overtime, nights, or weekends as needed
Schedule: Monday-Friday with rotating weekends

YOUR ROLE AS A PLUMBING INSTALLER:
Your typical schedule will be 8 AM to 5 PM, with the potential for overtime. You can expect to work approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, although the schedule is not guaranteed. Weekend work may also be required based on customer needs.
As a Plumbing Installer, you play a vital role in ensuring customers' homes are safe and functional. Your day starts with preparing your equipment for service calls. You respond to various requests, performing installations and repairs, from toilet and faucet replacements to water heater installations. You conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and provide effective solutions while adhering to all compliance standards. You offer clear cost estimates and communicate professionally with customers about repairs and solutions, representing Roto-Rooter with excellence. Additionally, you document every service call and repair accurately using Service Titan.
