This position performs duties as a skilled Plumber utilizing the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and practices of the Plumbing Trades. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining all plumbing and related mechanical operations, (including heating, ventilating, and the distribution systems) in accordance with the provisions of plumbing codes, pertinent plans, and specifications or work orders. This position will sometimes work within a wide range of temperatures (extreme hot and cold), in dusty, dirty, or confined areas or areas that may be quite noisy. This position will also work within close physical proximity to Persons in Our Care and other staff members. This position may work in other areas of the institution during lock-down situations. Salary Information This position is in pay schedule and range 04-00 with a starting pay of $51.84/hour - $63.34/hour. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire, pay will also be set considering the hiring location. Job Details This position is not eligible for remote work and will work on site. The work hours will vary significantly and specifics can be discussed at time of interview. This position is FLSA Non-Exempt. Limited Term Employees must be residents of the State of Wisconsin. Wisconsin State Statutes limit LTE jobs to no more than 1,039 hours of work within a 12-month period. Limited term jobs vary in duration, and work hours may be full- or part-time depending on individual program needs, budgets and seasonal demands. As a limited term employee, if you work 1,039 hours or less during a 12-month period, you may be eligible to continue in the position for another 1,039 hours or less during the next year or until the job ends. LTEs are immediately eligible for the Workers Compensation, unemployment insurance and Social Security programs.
