YOUR TYPICAL DAY
As a Lead Plumbing Excavation Technician, your day starts with a morning huddle at our office, followed by dispatch to customer homes for excavation projects. + Develop and maintain a consistent schedule of performing preventative maintenance of all Herc owned fleet at your branch
+ Operate and test equipment to ensure it passes Herc Rentals quality and efficiency standards
+ Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all Herc fleet equipment and trucks independently
+ Diagnose internal combustion engines, DC electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and fuel systems
+ Perform major repairs to maintain fleet equipment using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and measuring instrumentsindependently
+ Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services
+ Assist shop lead with customer damage estimates and repairs
+ Enter and review work orders and complete part ordering via fleet management system

Work Scope
Plumbers will be working on a commercial plumbing project in Ashville, OH, performing installation of specialized piping systems.
Duties include:
* Installing compressed air systems using Type L copper (½" through 6")
* Installing domestic Type L copper using sweat connections
* Installing carbon steel gas piping
* Measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling pipe accurately
* Using hand and power tools to complete installations
* Working from prints and jobsite layout
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional jobsite
Commercial Plumber Requirements
* Commercial plumbing experience required
* Experience with Type L copper and gas piping systems
* Hand and power tools required
* Specialty tools will be provided
* Brazing certification is a plus
* Ability to read and follow prints
* Must have standard PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, work boots)
* Must be able to pass any required background checks or drug screenings
* Reliable transportation required
* Professional attitude and strong work ethic
