Reputable institution, no risk of being asked to participate in something unethical.
Traditional "club/favorites" bank culture. Lack of raises in current role but actually has a pay structure designed to pay internal hires under the minimum for the role for 2 full calendar years and at which point beginning of next calendar year (yr 4) you are moved to the minimum pay for said role Benefits vary greatly based on market, line of business, small markets have few emotes perks, low enough pay bracks for tellers to need to work 2 jobs. Absolute refusal to comply with basic disability accomodations (even when no work is required as all resources are already in place, just have to say yes..instead they say no and push you out with hostile environment practices
Bank holidays/time off If you enter through the development program then you can be accelerated in your career and do well - if you're past that you will constantly fight for the bottom
CEO is well spoken
Be honest about culture, there are many who care but policies that negatively impact culture are not adjusted or considered (such as paying internal employees under the minimum for the job)
I prepared by discussing the role with a current employee
Compensation philosophy is terrible, go in high even when you get promoted you won't even get to the bottom of that pay for years. Nearly every employee I know that left in the last 5 years left over compensation taking significant raises
Pnc tries to be diverse and yet they haven't reviewed or adjusted practices to encourage diverse employees to stay or even start, when mentioned you are pushed out for being s "naysayer"
Helping clients and their employes keeping companies profitable
Benefits, structure, ability to transition to different roles throughout the country and grow your career
Work Life balance for branch employees and related work schedule. Lack of breaks and half hour lunch. Micromanagement of tasks with multiple reports for different levels of management that could be contained in one location for all to review and pull relevant metrics.
Networking events/groups within organization, health and wellness programs
The culture experience is different in corporate locations and branch locations. There is a drop off of the culture and work life balance spoken about in corporate offices but not experienced in branch locations due to the branch hours.
Leadership is consistent and provides stability with opportunities and initiatives for company growth for complete national expansion.
Know your strengths and weaknesses. Be able to tell about your work experiences with customers and how you solved a problem or turned around a negative.
It is customarily lower than the industry.
Diverse demographics are well represented in all facets of the company
Making a customer happy and solving their problem. Co-workers and team members.
The pro's of working at PNC Bank are most of all, great employees to work with, very employee driven to bring teams together and always a positive and flexible work environment.
No Con's at PNC.
My favorite benefits at PNC were the ability to hold team events to encourage a positive work environment. Also they have a health incentive program for HSA members that is very beneficial for health expenses and encourages healthy habits.
The CEO held quarterly updates with company and kept us informed on changes and brought in additional speakers from the company to address topics.
Company culture is great. Employees are encouraged to take courses, get mentored and further their career path.
I prepared for an interview with PNC by aligning what I can offer the company as a benefit to building a stronger team with my past experience in administration.
In my experience, compensation is very good if you are making a strong effort to go above and beyond your role.
The representation of diversity at PNC was excellent. Various culture holidays are celebrated by all and the LGBTQ community is very strongly recognized.
The most fulfilling aspect of working at PNC is being treated with respect and independence to perform the role to your best ability. The people are incredible to work with.

Saturday working day
Employee recognition program, PNC paying for higher learning
I liked most of the people I worked with. PNC is a conservative company and most of the managers are unwilling to make decisions.
I was included in a silence layoff and the company provided no notification to other departments or Sr. Managers. During my 60 day notice period, I had to inform co-workers of the layoff and pass my work to other people. Having this conversation with all of my "work friends" was very difficult and emotionally draining.
Pension and the amount of vacation/occasional absence days.
