As a Managing Director, Senior Relationship Manager within PNC's Corporate Banking organization, you will be a key member of the expanding Pharma & Life Sciences vertical industry team. This team provides industry coverage of Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology, Medical Device and Medtech, Pharma Services & Technologies, and Pharma Supply Chain clients and prospects across the US. Relationship Managers within PNC's Specialty Industry teams focus on a specific industry and leverage their industry knowledge in a multitude of ways to create value for PNC and the client. Specialty Industry teams augment PNC's core local coverage go-to-market strategy, by providing industry insight, knowledge, and analytics, that is used to develop strategies and tactics including portfolio management, client selection, advisory services, sales efforts, underwriting/credit analysis, transaction vetting, marketing and more. Specialty Industry RMs do not provide direct day-to-day client coverage of clients and prospects in the industry. Instead, they partner with local in-market RMs who "own" the relationship to deliver the industry expertise and perspective into the relationship. In addition to direct client calling efforts with local RMs, Specialty Industry RMs develop a brand and presence for PNC in the industry in a variety of ways including quarterly newsletters, "thought leadership pieces" and webinars, presence at industry conferences, and PNC hosted events. Specialty Industry RMs provide connectivity across C&IB business segments, products and geographic markets to help direct and manage PNC's strategic approach to their industry. They provide insights and knowledge to drive and inform client selection, portfolio management, risk assessment, transaction structuring, and underwriting policies. Further, their familiarity with the portfolio helps drive wins across the franchise by replicating successful strategies, creating efficiencies in pitch materials and analysis, and understanding the capital markets' and our bank competitors' approach to and views on the industry. This position can be located in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, PA, East Brunswick, NJ, Boston, MA, Raleigh, Charlotte, NC, San Francisco, San Diego, or Orange County, CA.
