PNY Electronics, Inc. originated out of Brooklyn, New York in 1985 as a company that bought and sold memory chips.
Since the 1994 opening of its European headquarters in Bordeaux, PNY Technologies has grown to become a leader in the European IT market.
To emphasize its expansion into manufacturing new forms of memory and complementary products, the company changed its name in 1997 to PNY Technologies, Inc.
In 2009, PNY implemented lead-free assembly in their production facility - utilizing a lead-free soldering alloy and adhering to manufacturing processes consistent with product reliability requirements.
PNY's eco-friendly packaging, introduced in 2010, is made of environmentally sustainable materials; leading to a 70% reduction in the amount of plastic used.
In 2011, PNY moved their global headquarters and main manufacturing facility to a 40+ acre location on Jefferson Road in Parsippany, NJ. Lt.
PNY Technologies Asia Pacific Limited has obtained AFANOR ASIA ISO 9001:2015 quality system certification.
With a turnover of 800 million dollars in 2016, PNY has over 800 employees, working in manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing and administration, in 13 offices across the world.
