About this Role
Taylor's Construction is seeking skilled Fiber Splicers to perform splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables for telecommunications construction projects. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
What You'll Do
* Perform fiber optic splicing in various environments.
* Test and troubleshoot fiber optic networks using OTDRs, light meters, and other diagnostic tools.
* Interpret splicing diagrams, work orders, and engineered prints.
* Complete splice documentation, labeling, and testing reports accurately.
* Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, and client specifications.
* Work with supervisors and project managers to plan daily tasks and meet project deadlines.
* Provide field support during cutovers, emergency repairs, and restoration activities.
What You'll Bring
* 2+ years of experience in fiber optic splicing or telecommunications construction.
* Knowledge of OTDRs, fusion splicers, cleavers, and related tools.
* Ability to read and interpret splicing diagrams, route maps, and engineering prints.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
* Experience with both single-mode and multi-mode fiber, preferred.
* Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to multiple job sites, preferred

Clinical Educator
Position Reports To: Director of Education
Position Interfaces To: Leadership Team, Chief Medical Officer, Flight Team Members, Ground Team Members, Communicators
Position Overview:
The Clinical Educator (CE) reports to the Director of Education and works closely with the Chief Medical Officer to ensure that all clinical employees are provided adequate and appropriate education. The CE is directly involved in the delivery of organizational and individual compliance with all educational certification requirements.
Environmental and Mechanical Considerations:
While serving in an office or classroom setting, the CE generally conducts his/her activities in a controlled, office environment. Limited exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards may exist in this environment. While serving in a clinical or observational capacity at a base location the CE delivers critical care services under the stresses of flight, with frequent exposure to blood/body fluids, in sometimes hazardous conditions, near moving mechanical parts and within high noise environments. Training and resources are available to mitigate risk as appropriate, but the responsibility to utilize those devices falls to the individual.
Minimum Required Educational Level:
Completion of an associate degree in paramedic science, nursing or related field of study from an accredited institution
Preferred Educational Level:
Completion of a bachelor's or master's degree in paramedic science, nursing or related field of study from an accredited institution
Required Previous Experience:
Five or more years in similar position
Preferred Previous Experience:
Five or more years in a similar position with additional managerial and/or supervisory experience
Required Certifications or Registrations:
Active non-restricted West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Service (WVOEMS) Mobile Critical Care Paramedic or Mobile Critical Care Nurse certification
WVOEMS certified instructor
Instructor status in 50% or greater of required clinical certifications
Post Hire Certifications and/or Registrations:
100% instructor status of required clinical certifications within six months

Position Specific Accountabilities:

Ensures that clinical team operations' continuing education complies with standards set forth by state EMS offices, state boards of nursing and other certifying/regulatory bodies including but not limited to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS)
Validates flight and ground team member credentials and maintains a system for accountability and tracking of all credentials
Maintains a system for accountability and tracking of internal and external educational activities.
Is proactive in developing and maintaining clinical competencies among flight and ground team members
Promotes the certification of HealthNet Aeromedical Services Training Center (HNTC) faculty at state and national levels
Provides educational services related to a Just Culture environment and promotes its use
Ensures currency and accuracy of the education outreach calendar
Ensures the maintenance and operability of all HNTC training equipment
Provide education and certifications for all current clinical employees
Obtain instructor status for all applicable clinical certifications
Assist with course content delivery, design and revision
Responsible for preceptor orientation, communication and evaluation
As required, serves on standing and special call organizational committees
Interfaces with the survival instructors' group
Accomplishes HNTC and organizational goals by achieving specific projects as required
Maintains a clean, neat and professional office and HNTC environment
Follows standards of conduct and procedures developed by HealthNet Aeromedical Services
Follows standards of conduct developed by appropriate governmental bodies
Available and willing to work beyond the end of scheduled shift or on unscheduled days and at any
HealthNet Aeromedical Services location as required for efficient organizational operation and growth
Inspect, operate, and provide upkeep to mobile healthcare simulation vehicles.
Within the scope of his/her qualifications and experience, performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Education
