JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Master Planner/Scheduler, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and advancing Maintenance Planning and Scheduling processes across POET's footprint. This position will support site Planner/Schedulers, refine enterprise-wide processes, and drive the strategic development of processes and metrics to enable a best-in-class Maintenance organization. In this role, you will guide shutdown planning strategies, Preventative Maintenance standardization, and support site-to-site contractor alignment. Through your expertise, collaboration, and data-driven mindset, you will reduce maintenance and contractor variability and ensure alignment with fleetwide maintenance goals.
This role is part of a strategic hiring initiative to add over 20 new team members to support our growing organization.
This is an on-site role located in Sioux Falls, SD. Additional responsibilities include:
Support and mentor site Planner/Schedulers in training and work processes.
Refine and maintain the enterprise Planning & Scheduling Playbook, ensuring consistent adoption and execution.
Serve as a CMMS Administrator
Assist engineering team with planning and scheduling efforts tied to fleet-wide initiatives, rollouts, and reliability-focused projects.
Develop and maintain planning and scheduling metrics.
Lead the development of shutdown planning processes, including contractor sequencing, timeline strategies, and coordination with procurement to engage preferred service providers.
Drive preventative maintenance standardization efforts across the fleet.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent required. An Associate or Bachelor's degree in technical field is a plus.
3-5 years of relevant experience required.
Advanced experience with maintenance management systems, such as IBM Maximo, is strongly preferred.
Reliability certifications such as Uptime Elements, CMRP, or equivalent planning/scheduling credentials are also a plus.
Excellent organizational skills, can manage competing fleet-wide priorities, comfortable coaching/leading others through change, and attention to detail.
Deep understanding of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling principles and a strong grasp of bioprocessing facility operations.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning advanced tools such as Maximo Application Suite, PowerBI, and other planning or reporting applications.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Material Handler is responsible for loading Dried Distillers Grains, Bioethanol, POET Distillers Corn Oil, POET Wet Distillers, Distillers Syrup, or Biomass into trucks and rail cars. Team members in this position use mechanical equipment, meters or scales as well as computers and software equipment when loading products to ensure a timely delivery and product safety. Based on training provided, the Material Handler may also complete the grading of grain products or biomass.
Load trucks and rail cars with feed and fuel products of POET bioprocessing facilities using mechanical equipment, meters and scales as required to ensure timely delivery of products.
Assist with grain product or biomass and supply truck unloading functions.
Complete the grading of grain products or biomass using training provided.
Operate large machinery and equipment; may be required to obtain DOT certification.
Maintain a clean work area.
Enter bins adhering to POET's confined space procedures.
Complete HAZMAT paperwork when necessary.
Learn, maintain, and operate all processes associated with the grains operation, including repair and maintenance.
Remove, install, rebuild, lubricate, and clean all equipment associated with the grains process.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
Be required to work outdoors, on weekends and holidays.
Must be able to meet call-in requirements as well as work extended hours as necessary.
Assist with running the bioprocessing facility scale house and learn required software applications.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Plant Technician is responsible for the operation of all plant processing equipment and performing routine basic maintenance in a highly automated chemical facility. In the area of maintenance, Plant Technicians are responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, basic repair, and cleaning of all equipment associated with bioprocessing processes. At times, Plant Technicians may be asked to assist Maintenance Technicians in more technical and complex maintenance procedures. Team members in this position are required to maintain knowledge of the process flow, computerized equipment, and be aware of hazards associated with the process as well as understand and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs). Continuous plant operation requires 12-hour shift work. Plant Technicians must be able to adapt to 12-hour workdays and be able to meet call-in requirements as needed.
Use your knowledge to maintain and operate all processes associated with the plant where required.
Perform maintenance and basic repairs of plant equipment and document these activities.
Operate the DCS (Distributed Control System) for the plant.
Safely perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
Follow procedures for plant start-up, shut-down, cleaning, and batching.
Maintain accurate and timely logs.
Collect and test quality control samples, interpret QA/QC results and make adjustments to optimize plant operations, timely and accurately document results and enter results into our data collection system, PI.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Plant Technician is responsible for the operation of all plant processing equipment and performing routine basic maintenance in a highly automated chemical facility. In the area of maintenance, Plant Technicians are responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, basic repair, and cleaning of all equipment associated with bioprocessing processes. At times, Plant Technicians may be asked to assist Maintenance Technicians in more technical and complex maintenance procedures. Team members in this position are required to maintain knowledge of the process flow, computerized equipment, and be aware of hazards associated with the process as well as understand and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs). Continuous plant operation requires 12-hour shift work. Plant Technicians must be able to adapt to 12-hour workdays and be able to meet call-in requirements as needed.
Use your knowledge to maintain and operate all processes associated with the plant where required.
Perform maintenance and basic repairs of plant equipment and document these activities.
Operate the DCS (Distributed Control System) for the plant.
Safely perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
Follow procedures for plant start-up, shut-down, cleaning, and batching.
Maintain accurate and timely logs.
Collect and test quality control samples, interpret QA/QC results and make adjustments to optimize plant operations, timely and accurately document results and enter results into our data collection system, PI.
Assist in removal, installation, rebuild, and performance of preventive and predictive maintenance on all equipment associated with plant processes.
Help keep your plant clean by following the sanitation schedule and completing all tasks as assigned.
Notify the management team of safety, environmental, quality, and production concerns, problems, and opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience requirements:
Plant Technician I: experience in a production environment preferred.
Plant Technician II: Documented successful performance as a Plant Technician I or equivalent work experience required.
Plant Technician III: Documented proficiency in the skills listed in the Plant Technician III Skills Checklist.
Working knowledge in math, reading comprehension, and mechanical reasoning is required.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements at all times and in all work environments. This position is exposed to work in multiple environments, including plant, laboratory, and office environments. You may be exposed to high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, and chemicals.
Due to the physical and safety-sensitive nature of this job, you will be subject to a physical and expected to pass a drug screen during the pre-screen process. During employment, you'll be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
This role has some physical requirements that our team members will need to be able to perform, such as:
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, hazardous material suits, hearing protection, and harness.

The CAD Drafter is responsible for the development of complete and accurate CAD models, drawings, and design documents for systems using AutoCAD and other Computer Aided Design software tools. Grain Merchandisers are responsible for the development and retention of customer relationships, formulating solutions to meet our customers' needs, which may involve customized marketing plans and on-farm visits. Team members in this position will understand grain weighing and grading procedures and policies in addition to CBOT futures markets, fundamental and technical market factors, basis levels, market structure, carrying costs, and freight spreads. Grain merchandisers also monitor the competitiveness of cash grain bids and related factors that affect the net selling price for the customer and are accountable for keeping leadership aware of grain movements and other local news that may impact local buying efforts. Additionally, the ability to explain, educate, and intelligently communicate this information to the customer is essential to this position.
DURING A TYPICAL DAY
Procure grain supplies through the purchase of grain from producers and commercial accounts.
Seek out new potential customers for POET via phone, traveling to farms, and holding various types of meetings in a variety of venues.
Manage and keep current customer database.
Analyze local supply/demand, competition, crop and market conditions (including carry/inverted markets) to buy grain at optimum price levels.
Monitor competitiveness of cash bids within the local trade area.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Plant Technicians and for creating a positive work environment. Team members in this position strive for maximum efficiency in plant operations and support operations through problem solving, adaptation, and working with other departments to correct process problems. The Shift Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the operations of the bioprocessing facility by implementing changes as necessary. Team members in this position are also responsible for optimizing plant runtime as well as downtime while ensuring a quality end product.
POET bioprocessing facilities operate on a 24-hour continuous schedule which requires Shift Supervisors to work a 12-hour shift schedule (including, nights, weekends, and holidays) alongside their assigned team. Team member must be available as needed
Supervise plant operations on shift.
Influence and support execution of plant maintenance as developed by the Maintenance Manager.
Assure all daily documentation and required process information is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Make process decisions including shutting plant down if necessary.
Contact the appropriate department manager with problems/concerns; call in additional team members if needed.
Maintain and operate all processes associated with the plant including boilers, cooling towers, and water chemistry.
Develop an understanding of repair and maintenance of plant equipment and may need to ensure documentation of all maintenance activities.
Understand basic electrical troubleshooting.
Strive for maximum efficiency in plant operations, trouble shoot and work with all departments to correct process problems.
Learn and operate the DCS (computer control system) and other processes associated with the plant operations.

The Project Superintendent shall execute onsite management of capital construction and engineering projects under the direction of a Project Manager or Director of Project Management. The Project Superintendent will assist in the execution of the scope of work and schedule of the assigned projects.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient repair, preventative maintenance, and cleaning of all equipment associated with plant processes. Team members in this position will also perform maintenance tasks on all plant equipment. Maintenance Technicians are accountable for communicating any issues to the management team. Maintenance Technicians should be knowledgeable of process flow, computerized equipment, and have an awareness of hazards associated with the process as well as display an understanding and ability to execute standard operating procedures (SOPs). As a team member grows in their skill and experience levels, they are expected to become proficient in all maintenance functions at the Bioprocessing facility and be capable of training other team members in all areas. Continuous plant operation may require the Maintenance Technician to work 12-hour shifts and/or meet call-in requirements as needed.
Coordinate work functions with fellow team members and other departments within POET.
Maintain boiler and cooling tower systems including water testing and adjusting.
Maintain all plant equipment including, but not limited to: centrifuges (decanters and corn oil), pumps, motors, gearboxes, minor electrical systems, PLC's, heat exchangers, compressors, grain handling equipment, and fans or blowers.
Troubleshoot equipment issues
Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) functions on the equipment.
Operate, maintain, and clean the water filtration equipment.
Understand and, as needed, operate the DCS (Distributed Control System) for the plant.
Use Maximo to coordinate and order materials to complete projects and thoroughly document all maintenance tasks and spare part inventory.
Work with the management team to solve problems and fix unsafe conditions.
Use your knowledge of plant processes to understand how the equipment is utilized.
Operate equipment including, but not limited to: telehandler, skid steers, tractors, ATVs, pay loaders, and fork lifts.
Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication on plant and structural equipment.
Be responsible for concrete work, including building forms, pouring, and finishing.
Maintain a clean facility and follow the sanitation schedule, completing all tasks as assigned.
Keep your plant safe by fostering a culture of safe behavior and environmental
Train new team members in the Maintenance Department
Clearly and concisely communicate with other departments.
Maintain a team environment at all times and champion POET in the community.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent Secondary education and/or certifications preferred.
Documented successful performance as a Maintenance Technician I or equivalent work experience required.
Experience with fabrication, welding, and cutting; repair of equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, airlocks, fans/blowers, agitator assemblies, and valves; boiler operations and water chemistry; material handling systems such as conveyors; preventative maintenance practices, fabrication and repair of metal/plastic piping systems; and instrument and electrical work preferred.
Experience with concrete work, hydraulics, pneumatic and fluid processes, and ability to read schematic drawings is helpful.
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to embrace change.
You have the ability to understand the technical and day-to-day operations of a bioprocessing facility.
You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite. You're capable of learning new programs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements at all times and in all work environments. This position is exposed to work in multiple environments, including plant, laboratory, as well as an office environment. You may be exposed to high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, and chemicals.
Due to the physical and safety-sensitive nature of this job, you will be subject to a physical and expected to pass a drug screen during the pre-screen process. During employment, you'll be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
Specific physical requirements may include:
Occasionally lifting weights up to sixty (60) pounds.
Climbing several flights of stairs and ladders.
Opening valves.
Occasionally bending, twisting and turning while lifting weight of less than fifty (50) pounds.
Data entry while seated for greater than one (1) hour.
Walking up to two (2) or more miles per day.
Pushing brooms, shovels, etc.
Working at heights, in confined spaces, and at temperatures from -20 to +100 degrees.
Standing for extended periods of time.
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Using hand and power tools.
