We are excited to have recently acquired a rail-to-container transload facility in Savannah, Georgia! By expanding our footprint, we will continue to drive consistency and demand within several of POET's key markets for POET DDGS & POET CFP animal feed. Our customers have already come to expect nothing less than the best in food safety and quality from POET, and we will continue to deliver as a trusted partner! As a Logistics Supervisor, you will ensure timely scheduled container shipments, manage container stacking operations, supervise a team of Gate Clerks (potentially supervise other job titles), and align product spec availability via rail with scheduled container shipments. You will also serve as a liaison between our local team and our logistics team at our Sioux Falls, South Dakota headquarters. You will work as part of a world-class team to provide industry leading communication and logistical execution. Work with the POET logistics team in Sioux Falls, SD to optimize container schedule workflow. Monitor vessel schedules at the Port of Savannah and maintain current data in POET's operating system. Communicate with the POET Terminal - Savannah team effectively and help manage through challenging logistical situations. Provide the data necessary to complete the international container shipment documentation process to the logistics team. Keep current on all pertinent regulations impacting POET's export processes through the Georgia Port Authority. Help manage stacking operations, container grid layout and truck traffic flow onsite at POET Terminal - Savannah. Advise POET Bioproducts on any discrepancies/changes in terminal production plans. From time to time fill in for Gate Clerks when they are short staffed. Assist in determining areas of opportunity to improve work processes. Effectively lead a team of Gate Clerks (and potentially other job titles) by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training team members. Leadership responsibilities also include delegating, coaching, managing performance and career development to effectively execute departmental strategies and support company objectives. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is largely self-directed and requires a thorough understanding of company policy, procedures, and values. Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements at all times and in all work environments. The team member may be exposed to high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, and chemicals. Job Responsibilities: Develop and revise detailed mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software Collaborate with engineering teams to translate product improvement concepts and prototypes into production-ready designs. Create and maintain accurate documentation including BOMs, assembly instructions, and revision histories. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturing capabilities. Perform tolerance analysis and ensure proper fit and function of mechanical components. Assist in the integration of electrical components into mechanical assemblies. Review and incorporate feedback from engineers, manufacturing, and quality teams. Maintain drawing databases and support change management system Job Requirements: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field. 6+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical drafting/design. Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and electrical design software. Understanding of mechanical fabrication processes and electrical wiring standards. Experience with ECO processes and change management systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
