JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES In POET Information Technology (IT), we proactively deliver a high level of service to empower our business units to create more value for POET. An IT Help Desk team member at POET provides first level technical support and guidance to users by responding to inquiries, troubleshooting and resolving problems for all software and hardware issues; printer support (Canon, HP and Dell); escalating and dispatching appropriate IT personnel as needed; communicate technical issues with team members to research and implement solutions; document inquiries and resolutions in the Help Desk trouble ticketing system; communicate all changes to appropriate IT management; keeps skills in relevant technologies up to date and takes steps to constantly improve those skills. Work with technical support team members from external organizations to troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and telecommunications systems. The Help Desk trouble ticketing system is utilized to track user issues and provide IT with metrics to track user satisfaction. Team members in this position use mechanical equipment, meters or scales as well as computers and software equipment when loading products to ensure a timely delivery and product safety. Based on training provided, the Material Handler may also complete the grading of grain products or biomass. Load trucks and rail cars with feed and fuel products of POET bioprocessing facilities using mechanical equipment, meters and scales as required to ensure timely delivery of products. Assist with grain product or biomass and supply truck unloading functions. Complete the grading of grain products or biomass using training provided. Operate large machinery and equipment; may be required to obtain DOT certification. Maintain a clean work area. Enter bins adhering to POET's confined space procedures. Complete HAZMAT paperwork when necessary. Learn, maintain, and operate all processes associated with the grains operation, including repair and maintenance. Remove, install, rebuild, lubricate, and clean all equipment associated with the grains process. Perform preventative maintenance tasks as directed. Be required to work outdoors, on weekends and holidays. Must be able to meet call-in requirements as well as work extended hours as necessary. The Instrumentation & Electrical Technician ensures that all work performed follows electrical codes and tests and inspects and repairs issues when they occur. Team members in this position will communicate any problems or concerns to the management team. This role is also responsible for reviewing all electrical procedures for the bioprocessing facility, assisting in developing pertinent electrical programs and training team members. Continuous plant operation includes 24/7 schedules. Team member must be able to meet call-in requirements as needed. DURING A TYPICAL DAY Troubleshoot and identify a root cause, repair, or replace parts, rewire and install related instrument/electrical goods including conduit and/or wiring. Ensure that all work performed is completed by following all local electrical codes. Including 4160V, 480V, 220V, 110V, 24V DC and 4-20 mA loops and circuits as applicable to the location. Troubleshoot PLC/DCS I/O including 4-20mA loops, 120V/24DC I/O. Responsible for all preventative and proactive electrical maintenance and compliance procedures. Assist with emergency and scheduled shutdowns while performing regular mechanical duties as directed. Calibrate, configure, and repair of measurement/control instruments for flow, level, pressure, temperature, and pH including associated valves and valve actuators. Understand electrical and instrumentation equipment associated with plant processing equipment. Possess a strong understanding of motor control circuits and electric motors. Inform management of any instrument/electrical parts needed and assist with maintaining the required instrument/electronic/electrical parts inventories. In the area of maintenance, Plant Technicians are responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, basic repair, and cleaning of all equipment associated with bioprocessing processes. At times, Plant Technicians may be asked to assist Maintenance Technicians in more technical and complex maintenance procedures. JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES The Process Control Systems Engineer is responsible for the support, design, implementation, and specification of industrial plant automation systems and associated tasks. The Process Control Systems Engineer works under the close guidance of Senior Engineers to complete assignments and develop knowledge and skills. The Process Control Systems Engineer has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within their field. Responsibilities include: Configure Emerson Delta V industrial control systems, including: System hardware and software specification and design Programming and configuration of field device monitoring and equipment control modules Sequence and interlock logic design and configuration Operator graphics configuration Database development Documentation Designs detailed control loops and strategies involving system design, configuration, testing, cutover, and startup. Develop and optimize current automation techniques, processes and architecture for process control across multiple sites. Provides support and service to existing Distributed Control Systems (DCS) installations. Supports, with limited supervision, the installation/setup of control systems. Team members in this position will also perform maintenance tasks on all plant equipment. Maintenance Technicians are accountable for communicating any issues to the management team. You will place, confirm and track purchase orders with exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. This is an on-site role located in Sioux Falls or a POET Bioprocessing Facility. Responsibilities include: Processing purchase requisitions with proper authorization and workflow. Obtaining quotes, placing purchase orders and gathering appropriate documentation for confirmation. Investigating discrepancies between purchase order, receipt and invoice. Communicating with suppliers, internal stakeholders and leadership to resolve issues in the purchasing process. Working with corporate and site inventory teams on Item Master updates as needed. Assisting with updating and developing standard operating procedures and work instructions for the business supporting the purchasing process. Providing backup support to other purchasing specialists to assist in coverage. Negotiating basic purchase order details and expectations. Gaining an understanding of the Procurement function within POET to round out knowledge of workflows and process.
