Capital Advisors in 1992 and converted his investment operations to the Point72 Asset Management family office in 2014. An avid philanthropist and entrepreneur, Mr. Cohen has founded and holds active leadership roles in a number of nonprofit organizations.

Mr. Cohen and his wife, Alexandra, founded the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation in 2001. The Cohen Foundation is committed to achieving lasting and meaningful change through commitments to children’s health, education, veterans, and the arts. Mr. Cohen created Cohen Veterans Network and Cohen Veterans Bioscience in 2015 to improve the mental healthcare, treatment, and quality of life for recently-returned veterans and their families.

Mr. Cohen also serves on the Board of Trustees at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles, the Emeritus Board of the Robin Hood Foundation, and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Board of Trustees.

Harry Schwefel is the Co-Chief Investment Officer at Point72. Mr. Schwefel joined the Firm in January 2008 as a Portfolio Manager trading stocks in the Consumer, Industrial, and Technology sectors. Prior to joining Point72, Mr. Schwefel was a Portfolio Manager at Magnetar Capital, where he was also a member of the Investment Committee. Before that, he was a Founder, Managing Partner, and Co-Portfolio Manager at Falconhenge Partners, LLC, which ultimately integrated into Magnetar Capital. He began his career in Finance at Bear Stearns in the Equity Research division.

Mr. Schwefel earned his A.B. in Government from Harvard College, cum laude. While at Harvard he was also a four year Letter Winner on the Men’s Varsity Hockey Team. He currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Greenwich Skating Club, the Board of Friends of Harvard Hockey, and is a member of the Greenwich Country Day School Athletic Advisory Council.

Mr. Cohen began his career at Morgan Stanley where he was an Analyst in the real estate department and principal investing group (MSREF) and then an Associate in the mergers and acquisitions group post business school.

Mr. Cohen received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Anthony “Tony” Paquette is the Chief Financial Officer at Point72.

Mr. Paquette joins us from Social Finance (SoFi), a financial technology company in San Francisco, where he was a Business Unit Leader responsible for Treasury, Market Risk, Regulatory and Financial Operations, and leading SoFi’s International business. Prior to SoFi, Mr. Paquette was a Managing Director at JP Morgan Chase in New York, where he most recently served as Global Head of Funding and Liability Management for the company, and previously held senior roles in the Chief Investment Office focused on asset-liability management (ALM) strategy and interest rate portfolio management. Before joining JP Morgan, Mr. Paquette was a Managing Director in Treasury and Corporate Investments at Bank of America, and began his career as a technology sector research analyst at Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Paquette holds a B.A. from Brown University, with a double major in Business Economics and Organizational Behavior and Management, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Mr. Paquette serves on the Advisory Board of Scholars of Finance, a non-profit organization focused on educating and developing students and future finance leaders with character and integrity, and he also serves on the President’s Advisory Council on Athletics at Brown University.

Gavin O’Connor

Gavin O’Connor serves as Point72 Group’s Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. O’Connor joined Point72 from Goldman Sachs, where he had a successful 21-year career. He most recently served as the COO of its Investment Management Division (IMD).

While at Goldman, Mr. O’Connor also served as co-chair of the firm-wide New Activities Committee, and was a member of the IMD Client and Business Standards Committee, and the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Operating Group. Before assuming his role as IMD’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. O’Connor was Goldman’s Corporate Controller. He was named a Managing Director in 2001 and a Partner in 2006.

Mr. O’Connor is the Chairman of Junior Achievement of New York and serves on the Fairfield University Board of Trustees.

He earned a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Fairfield University in 1988 and an MBA from New York University in 1992.

Previously, he served as an attorney appointed by President George W. Bush and was unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate as Connecticut’s 48th United States Attorney in 2002. From January to April 2006, O'Connor served as an Associate Deputy Attorney General. In 2007, O'Connor served as Chief of Staff to United States Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales. In 2008, O'Connor was unanimously confirmed as Associate Attorney General of the United States, the number three position at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), a post he held until 2009, when he left the DOJ to join the law firm of Bracewell and Giuliani.
