Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
MARGINAL DUTIES
Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
Keeps shop area neat and clean.
Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must obtain and maintain any certificates, licenses, and registrations as required by the Dealership.
Must maintain valid Driver's License that meets dealership insurability requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential physical duties are as follows. Other duties may be assigned:
Must be able to work on feet for up to 4 hours at a time without restrictions.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds without restrictions.
Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
Road-test vehicles when required, keeping in mind that customers' vehicles should not be used for personal errands.
Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed.

Qualifications
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive technology or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a technician in the automotive or truck service industry.
- Proven track record of diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues efficiently and accurately.
- Experience with a variety of diagnostic tools and equipment specific to truck maintenance and repair.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and computer systems for vehicle diagnostics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
