JOB SUMMARY:
Perform a wide variety of tasks as assigned, including preparing or building up vehicle parts, sub-systems, and components. Install subsystems, parts, and components into a vehicle on a moving assembly line and perform inspections to ensure good quality. Summary
This position will be part of a maintenance team in a high volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, this position will work across several trades performing various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in repair and maintenance of Dies and Molds. Essential Responsibilities:
Maintain dies and other tooling to produce quality parts to improve processes to increase productivity.
Installing/upgrading, and calibrating equipment.
Tig, and Mig welding, and hand working parts of dies (heat treat of materials).
Maintaining/troubleshooting/repairing hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical/mechanical equipment and pumps.
Conduct preventive maintenance as required.
Complete shop records and usage of reporting / tracking systems following established procedures.
Work in a safe manner at all times being aware of potential hazards in the area and safeguarding those hazards.
Adjust manufacturing equipment and testing of machinery for accuracy.
Operation of motorized equipment in accordance of safety guidelines.
Performing any other tasks assigned by the manager.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Required Qualifications
Associates Degree in Machine Technology - Tool & Die or similar trade, or a journeyman certification with at least 3 years related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of 1-year experience / working knowledge in skilled trade (welding, millwright, electrical, injection molding, hydraulics, pneumatics and HVAC).
Must be able to read and interpret detailed drawings and prints.
Mig, Tig, and SMAW (stick) welding certification required or ability to obtain.
Experience in the trade of tool and die mold repair with a strong mechanical background.
Experience running mills, lathes and precision surface grinders.
Plastic injection molding equipment experience, and progressive metal stamping and pierce die experience.
Knowledge of valve gates and repair methods.
Must be able to use a wide range of powered-hand tools (air/electric guns) and vibratory tools/equipment.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays when required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be team oriented and work well with others.
Must be able to work any shift as needed with the ability to change shifts, work overtime, holidays and weekends as required.
Must be capable of attaining annual medical clearance for respirator usage as well as medical clearance to all areas of the plant.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a fork truck certification.
While performing the duties of this job you may be asked to:
Intermittently sit or stand with frequent walking.
Occasionally lift or move component parts up to 50 lbs.
Pushing/pulling up to 35 lbs.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide manufacturing support for operations and planners in the area of welding process development
Communicate with counterpart on other shifts
Know how to operate and set up a complete robot welding cell.
Oversee robot programming activities of upcoming products
Responsible for maintenance of the robot systems. Coordinate trouble shooting activities with maintenance and robot suppliers to resolve issues with robotic and mechanized processes
Support and maintain robotic data collection for trouble shooting, keep accurate day to day maintenance log of robot systems.
Oversee training of editors and operators across all shifts
Provide cross functional robotic support to other Polaris plants
Design and implement programs and tests for all robotic machines.
Assist supervisors in monitoring quality of robot.
Lead quality improvement projects within welding to analyze and interpret best course of action for improvement
Troubleshoot any machine variances to maintain product quality.

What You'll Bring to Our Team
Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:
At least (5) years of experience within electronics field, engineering, maintenance or digital technology, or equivalent experience.
Associates degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent certification and/or experience.
Must demonstrate proficiency of Allen Bradley and GE plc's/controls/protocols platforms.
Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language for required document control, equipment operation, and supervisor/peer instructions.
Must be able to work other shifts, weekends and overtime to complete work as needed.
Employee must be willing to be on call to support production needs.
Must have solid computer skills, with the capability to use email, compile reports and spreadsheets for parts and project tracking.
Must be able to prepare technical reports for documenting issues/changes to equipment
Must be able to manage projects for implementing changes and improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Operator will be responsible for the incidental maintenance of the machine such as cone/tip cleaning and maintenance, weld wire replacement and machine area cleaning.
* Responsible for properly loading parts, using the agreed upon sequence and to identify good welds or bad welds.
* Responsible for various reports and data collection ie: FTQ, work gen and scrap reports.
* Inform the editor of any bad welds and make changes.
* Keep accurate day to day maintenance logs of robot operation.
* Maintain good housekeeping practices.
* Must be able to touch up welds that need minor repairs.
* Must be able to accurately job off using current process.
* Good communication skills.

Summary:

Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
