Position Summary:
We are looking for a Front Desk Clerk who will be responsible for assisting in the overall administration of the center which includes but is not limited to the following: crowd control and management of the lobby area, professional use of phones, membership registration, documentation of member and staff attendance, distribution of program information to youth, parents and visitors, and other administrative duties as assigned by the center director.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
With guidelines established by the center director, and with the support of the assistant director and office manager, provide direction to all people entering and using the building with respect to the appropriate use of the facility, especially the first-floor area, copy/coat room, and administrative office.
From the clerk registrar's station and lobby area, assist the center director and program coordinator in the distribution of information to staff, youth, visitors, and parents.
From the clerk registrar's station and with the assistance of the office manager, ensure that all staff, youth employment workers, teen center and adult night members, and volunteers sign-in appropriately. Also, notify the center director, program coordinator or office manager of lateness and absenteeism.
Under the director of the office manager, following systems to track member registration and attendance.
Monitor the professional use of phones and provide direction to staff and youth when necessary.

Ability to creatively problem-solve information challenges.
Professional communication skills, both oral and written.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
Familiarity and compliance with office protocols involving dress, demeanor, record keeping, confidentiality, staff meetings, visitors, and employee use of supplies and equipment.
A minimum of a high school diploma and demonstrated an interest in the pursuit of further education in administration and/or human service. Associate's preferred.
A minimum of two years of professional paid work experience in a non-profit youth or social service agency in an administrative capacity.
Compensation: $17.51 Per Hour

Position Summary:
The Front Desk Associate will work closely with the Human Resources Department. They will follow through with the plans and tasks necessary to run a fully compliant and smoothly functioning business operation. They will be a tech-savvy and hands-on person seeking to contribute those talents at an organization addressing youth and tennis education. This position reports to the HR department and is located at our headquarters in Long Island City, Queens.
Core Responsibilities:

Provide great customer service to all residents, guest, employees and vendors.
Answer telephones, check voicemails, take and receive messages for Employees.
Ensure that all visitors sign in and sign out.
Ensure that all visitors are desired by the resident they claim to be visiting before allowing them in the building. Check that all visitors are allowed in the building.
Attend to call-for-aid alert by calling the tenant if no response, go to tenant's unit and check on the tenant. Ensure call-for-aid is turned off before leaving unit.
Bring emergency or significant issues to the attention of the Manager.
Maintain cleanliness of the vestibule area.
Assist residents with completing work order requests.
Sort and distribute packages.
Assist residents with lock outs.
Maintain a written logbook and document all incidents via use of incident report forms.
Monitor and respond to all fire and emergency systems.
Monitor and control building access according to procedures. Ensure all entrance doors are locked at the end of business day.
Any other duties assigned with by Management.
Staff supervision:
Report directly to Building Manager.
Participate as a team member
Work collaboratively with other building staff to assist tenants and ensure tenant safety.
Physical Requirements
Able to lift 50 lbs.

Receive and direct calls to staff. Take and deliver appropriate phone messages.
Receive and distribute deliveries/ supplies.
Interact with parents and teaching staff in a professional manner; provide them with accurate information and direct them to appropriate staff when necessary.
Respect the confidentiality of children, staff, and parents, as many personal documents will flow through this area.
Maintain Children's medication logs and allergy lists.
Complete typing and/or translation in a timely fashion.
Work cooperatively with Family Worker in the maintenance of child files and other related paperwork.
Update bulletin boards with area information/resources/events.
Expected to communicate with NYCHA and all maintenance staff.
Maintain all ECE Social Media accounts

Phoenix Houses NY|LI has an immediate opening for a Front Desk Receptionist. This position is an integral part of the team as the primary point of contact for participant scheduling and in the operational management of the center. This is a part-time position at our East Hampton Outpatient Office. The schedule is: Monday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, 3 p.m.-8p.m., Wednesday, 3 p.m.-8 p.m., Thursday, 2 p.m.-8 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functions as the initial point of contact for patients both on the phone and in the office. Ensures clinic is in appropriate condition to deliver services.
Conduct outreach reminder calls and written notices to support patient retention and engagement.
Coordinate verification of benefits, self-pay agreements, and collects patient responsibility payments/balances independently and in coordination with relevant departments.
Supports outreach and engagement activities of the staff.
EXPERIENCE:
One year experience in customer service/receptionist in an office setting.
Prior experience working with recovery-oriented systems of care mode recipients preferred.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required
