Overview The Correctional Officer 2 is responsible for correctional work of average difficulty; and performs related work as required. This is the working level class in the Correctional Officer sub-series. An employee in this class performs correctional work at a state penal institution involving the custody, transport, and rehabilitation of inmates, and may be assigned to work any shift. This class is flexibly staffed with and differs from the Correctional Officer 1, in that an incumbent of the latter performs entry-level work. This class differs from that of Correctional Corporal in that an incumbent of the latter acts as a minor supervisor. Responsibilities Supervises inmate activities in housing units, dining areas, recreation and work areas, and attends to the medical, visitation, personal property, and recreational needs of the inmates. Automotive Technology Student will work directly with the City of Bartlett's Public Works Fleet Service Division to gain experience as automotive technicians. This student will work under the supervision of certified technicians to conduct essential tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, and develop a more in-depth understanding of advanced automotive repair. Animal Services Student will work directly with the City of Bartlett's Public Works Animal Services Division to gain experience in the sheltering of animals and animal control field operations. This student will work under the supervision of shelter management and animal control officers to conduct task such as daily animal care in a shelter environment, and the observation of animal control officers field services. Planning Department Student will work directly with the Planning Department Staff.     The Opportunity The Memphis Grizzlies are seeking a Public Safety Supervisory Officer to supervise security operations at FedExForum. This role oversees security personnel, CCTV and access control systems, and supports 24/7 arena security and event-related operations. The officer may serve as a liaison with law enforcement and emergency response agencies, enforce applicable laws and regulations, and manage incident reporting and response protocols. We are hiring qualified supervisors for the third shift. In This Role You Will Oversee day-to-day security operations. Responsible for supervising and managing the daily duties of the full-time and part-time Public Safety Officers. Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Recognize and report signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances. Report detailed notes of unusual occurrences that may jeopardize the safety and security of employees, contractors, vendor partners, and guests. Perform necessary security overwatch and engagement in covered and opened parking areas of the FedExForum and related areas, including the dock. Directs operations at the scenes of incidents, calls for service, and special events. Reviews and distributes incident reports completed by Public Safety Staff. Escalates complaints to management involving Public Safety Staff. Supports coordinating meetings and trainings for the Public Safety Staff. Directs and participates in rendering aid at the scene of emergencies. Execute emergency response planning in situational instances. Supervise threat monitoring (ex. weather, social media, and open-source data). May serve as primary law enforcement liaison during non-event days. Manage the deployment and redeployment of personnel and assets. Develop and manage post orders. Supervise officer patrol screenings and Operations Center activities. Develop and administer routine training to staff. Support the scheduling efforts of Public Safety Officer work shifts. Supervise CCTV and access control systems. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. The Experience You Will Bring High School Diploma or GED. At least 2-3 years of demonstrated leadership experience in law enforcement, security, military, or related field. The ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have effective critical thinking skills. Must be able to observe situations and make appropriate responses. Working knowledge of enforcement policies and procedures. Must be able to meet minimum requirements for the license eligibility for the TN State Private Protective Services. Must be capable of renewing license under the TN State Private Protective Services every 2 years. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Must be at least 21 years of age. Physical/Cognitive Requirements With or without reasonable accommodations: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, walking, and standing. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Ability to travel throughout the facility, as required. Must possess visual activity, i.e.: close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to work in a variety of environments, including but not limited to heights, elevators, darkened arena, around crowds, loud noise, and flashing lights. Continuous stretching, standing and walking, including up and downstairs. Nice to Have: Prior law enforcement experience preferred. Prior knowledge of access controls preferred. Physical, personnel security experience preferred. Working knowledge of magnetometers and X-rays. Knowledge of sports and entertainment, specifically NBA basketball.
