Duty location impacts pay rates; locality pay for federal law enforcement is higher in some locations than others. A fully trained BPA may be eligible for up to an additional 25% of base pay per the BPA Pay Reform Act of 2014. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression from GL-9 to GS-11 to GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in the lower grade level.
All Border Patrol Agents may select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health and insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement plan that is similar to traditional and ROTH 401(k) offerings. *Recruitment Incentive* Newly appointed Border Patrol Agents (as defined in 5 CFR 575.102) will be offered up to a $20,000 incentive. Duties and Responsibilities:
As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity. Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.
Typical assignments include:
· Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
· Preventing and apprehending aliens and smugglers of aliens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions to include using infrared scopes during night operations.
· Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.
· Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
· Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, off-road vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles for the accomplishment of the USBP Mission.
Qualifications:
GL-9: You qualify for the GL-9 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
· Performing physical searches of detained individuals, their vehicles, and their immediate surroundings for weapons, contraband, currency, and other evidence.
· Apprehending, physically restraining, or working with law enforcement officials to identify or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws.
· Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., warrants, subpoenas, etc.), and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system.
If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level.
GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, with the authority granted by the state or government to enforce laws, make arrests, and investigate crimes, performing primary duties in an official law enforcement capacity such as:
· Utilizing intelligence information to track illegal operations, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or contraband while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.
· Leading investigations of fraud, contraband, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or illegal operations to determine sources and patterns while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.
· Apprehending violators of state, federal, or immigration laws by utilizing various forms of complex technology that include surveillance, detection, situation awareness systems, and/or communications equipment.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.
There are no education substitutions for the GL-9 or GS-11 grade-level Border Patrol Agent opportunities.
Other Requirements:
Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (including protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Border Patrol Agent position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03. The age restriction may not apply if you are currently serving or have previously served in a federal civilian law enforcement (non-military) position covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d).
Veterans' Preference: You may also be eligible for an excepted service Veterans' Recruitment Appointment (VRA). The age restriction does not apply if you are Veterans' Preference eligible.
Formal Training: After you are hired, you will be detailed to the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico, for approximately six (6) months of intensive instruction in immigration and nationality laws, law enforcement, and USBP-specific operations, driver training, physical techniques, firearms, and other courses. Border Patrol work requires the ability to speak and read Spanish, as well as English. Border Patrol Agents will be provided training to become proficient in the Spanish language at the Academy.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Under direction, patrols assigned areas, conducts criminal investigations, regulates traffic laws, and performs duties of Deputy Sheriff 3.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patrols assigned areas of Anderson County in marked patrol car, keeps the peace, enforces laws, makes arrests, and issues citations. Conducts criminal investigations, serves and makes return of court paperwork (i.e.., subpoenas, warrants, summonses, writs, etc.), compiles information on suspects, and interrogates suspects. Responds to emergency radio calls and investigates robberies, civil disturbances, domestic disputes, fights, drunkenness, missing children, prowlers, abuse of drugs, etc. Takes appropriate law enforcement action. When directed, exercises full supervisory authority as Officer in Charge of shift or specific work assignment. Completes and submits all required reports accurately and in a timely manner. Transports prisoners and provides security to courts. Enforces traffic laws, investigates vehicular collisions, and prepares detailed reports. Assists in rescue activities for sick, injured, or lost persons. Preserves evidence.
Works an assigned shift using own judgment in deciding course of action while being expected to handle difficult and emergency situations without assistance.
Maintains normal availability by police radio or telephone for consultation on major emergencies or precedent.
Carries out duties in conformance with federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
Conducts follow-up investigations of crimes committed during assigned shift. Seeks out and questions victims, witnesses, and suspects. Develops leads and tips. Searches scene of crime for clues. Evaluates items for evidentiary value. Prepares cases for giving testimony and testifies in court proceedings.
Prepares a variety of reports and records including deputy's weekly log, reports of investigations, field interrogation report, breathalyzer check list, vehicle impoundment forms, etc.
Coordinates activities with other officers and exchanges information with officers in other law enforcement agencies.
Maintains contact with supervisory personnel to coordinate investigation activities, provides mutual assistance during emergency situations, and provides general information about Sheriff's Department activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and bondable.
Must be a citizen of the United States.
Must be a high school graduate or its equivalent for Classified Employees
Must not have been convicted of a felony or of a misdemeanor involving "moral turpitude" as the term is defined by law and not have been released or discharged under any other than honorable conditions from any of the Armed Forces of the United States.
Must have a valid Tennessee Driver's License (only for those employees normally required to operate motor vehicles).
Must have passed a physical examination by a licensed physician.
Must be free of all latent or apparent mental disorders as verified by a qualified professional.
Must have a good moral character as determined by investigation.
Must complete 40 hours in-service training annually.

The Position:
The purpose of the Public Safety Officer position is to perform activities related to law enforcement, firefighting, security, and emergency medical services for all Airport Authority owned property, facilities, and users. The Ideal Candidate:

Familiarity with maintaining security doors, baggage conveyor systems, escalators, elevators, jet bridges, and electronic perimeter gates is essential. Successful performance in this role requires excellent oral and written communication skills, critical thinking, radio communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities. As a department, Campus police are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the Hardin Valley Campus, and answer the emergency calls to ************ at any hour.

Campus police leadership strives to maintain a great work-life balance for all officers, and policeofficers frequently go months or years without receiving phone calls from campus while off-duty. Policeofficers on campus are supported by security guards who can help with minor requests for service, such as door unlocks or battery boost requests.
Position Summary: The overall purpose of this job is to ensure a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors of the college.
Essential Functions:
30% Patrols college grounds and adjacent areas on foot and in motor vehicle to deter crime. Enforce Tennessee State Laws and policies and guidelines set by Pellissippi State Community College, the Tennessee Board of Regents, and the U.S. Department of Education's Higher Education Act. As a department, Campus police are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the Hardin Valley Campus, and answer the emergency calls to ************ at any hour.

Policeofficers on campus are supported by security guards who can help with minor requests for service, such as door unlocks or battery boost requests.
Position Summary: The overall purpose of this job is to ensure a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors of the college.
Essential Functions:
30% Patrols college grounds and adjacent areas on foot and in motor vehicle to deter crime. Enforce Tennessee State Laws and policies and guidelines set by Pellissippi State Community College, the Tennessee Board of Regents, and the U.S. Department of Education's Higher Education Act. Apprehends criminal offenders and effect arrests as necessary. Maintains all department issued equipment.

10% Inspects college property for safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, unsecured doors or other unusual events. Unlocks doors to classrooms, offices and other secured areas of the college for authorized persons. Provides vehicle unlock and jump starts service to the campus community.
5% Perform tasks related to emergency incidents, emergency drills, and the college Emergency Response Plan. Provides mutual police assistance, upon request, to local police agencies to assist in large scale emergencies.
5% Provides first aid and direction in emergency situations and coordinates emergency response by EMS, fire, and outside police agencies. Inspects and ensures proper operation of emergency and security related equipment.
5% Monitors meetings between college officials and students or employees to ensure personal safety. Provides employee termination escorts, personal safety escorts, and security for special events other special security needs.
5% Monitors traffic flow and parking conditions and directs traffic as necessary. Issue tickets for parking and moving violations as per college Parking and Traffic Regulations and Tennessee State vehicle and traffic regulations.

We are actively seeking a dedicated and client-focused Fraud Protection Hotline Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for our clients experiencing fraudulent activities. Our goal is to protect our clients' brand reputations while providing an exceptional and positive client experience throughout the fraud resolution process This role will play a crucial role in safeguarding client interests and enhancing their trust in our services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Serve as the initial point of contact for clients reporting fraud, ensuring a high standard of professionalism and empathy
* Utilize effective relationship-building skills to engage with clients on both inbound and outbound calls, discussing potentially fraudulent activities.
* Analyze account processes and transactions to detect undetected frauds and correlated activities.
* Review and identify fraudulent activities, assessing client needs and recommending appropriate solutions when fraud is confirmed.
* Efficiently navigate multiple systems during client interactions to gather necessary data and provide timely solutions.
* Accurately record all data received during client engagements to maintain comprehensive case documentation.
* Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills to provide resolutions promptly.
* Communicate effectively to deliver resolutions while ensuring a positive client experience.
* Proactively identify trends surrounding fraud to enhance detection and prevention strategies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Escort EMS to emergency calls and assist other emergency agencies as needed.
• Enforce the laws of the State of Tennessee.
• Enforce traffic laws and does investigations.
• Complete State of Tennessee Accident Reports in a timely and efficient manner.
• Knowledge of court procedures.
• Ability to make arrests and serve warrants.
• Serve criminal and civil papers and assist county as required.
• Enforce speed limits by radar and writes citations.
• Respond to calls by Lifeline or families to check on family members.
• Complete accident reports for FGCC, guests, and members.
• Ensure orderly pick-up and delivery of money and reports to and from facilities.
• Enforce the rules and regulations of FGCC.
• Provide security for safety of all FGCC guests (property owners, visitors, vendors and employees).
• Maintain keys for all facilities and buildings.
• Patrol Fairfield Glade area and does building and house checks.
• Continue to acquire knowledge in the field of public safety.
• Attend a forty-hour (40) in-service to maintain post certification each year.
• Keep supervisors informed of problems that may arise.
• File reports as required and keeps daily log of all activity.
• Must be willing to change shifts or work any shift necessary to provide complete security of the Community.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School or GED
• Required in-service training courses in police methods, emergency medical aid, weapons use, investigative techniques, and related subjects. In-service consists of forty-hours (40) of are post certified training each year. Basic Police Recruit School - Certified Officer State of Tennessee; AED/CPR/1st Aid Training; obtain Private Special Deputy status as approved by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department.
• Prior law enforcement experience a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
