Salary for newly appointed law enforcement Border Patrol Agents varies from:
Base Salary: GL-9/GS-11 $63,148 - $120,145 per year
Locality Pay: Varies by duty location.
Overtime Pay: Up to 25%
Duty location impacts pay rates; locality pay for federal law enforcement is higher in some locations than others. A fully trained BPA may be eligible for up to an additional 25% of base pay per the BPA Pay Reform Act of 2014. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression from GL-9 to GS-11 to GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in the lower grade level.
All Border Patrol Agents may select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health and insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement plan that is similar to traditional and ROTH 401(k) offerings. *Recruitment Incentive* Newly appointed Border Patrol Agents (as defined in 5 CFR 575.102) will be offered up to a $20,000 incentive. The first $10,000 will be paid upon successful completion of the Border Patrol Academy, with the remaining $10,000 awarded for accepting a prioritized
location. Prioritized locations include Sierra Blanca, TX; Presidio, TX; Sanderson, TX; Comstock, TX; Lordsburg, NM; Freer, TX; Hebbronville, TX; Ajo, AZ.
*Retention Incentive* Newly appointed Border Patrol Agents may also qualify for up to $40,000 in additional incentives distributed over their first four years.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Typical assignments include:
Ā· Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
Ā· Preventing and apprehending aliens and smugglers of aliens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions to include using infrared scopes during night operations.
Ā· Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.
Ā· Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks.
Ā· Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, off-road vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles for the accomplishment of the USBP Mission.
Qualifications:
GL-9: You qualify for the GL-9 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Ā· Performing physical searches of detained individuals, their vehicles, and their immediate surroundings for weapons, contraband, currency, and other evidence.
Ā· Apprehending, physically restraining, or working with law enforcement officials to identify or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws.
Ā· Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., warrants, subpoenas, etc.), and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system.
If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level.
GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, with the authority granted by the state or government to enforce laws, make arrests, and investigate crimes, performing primary duties in an official law enforcement capacity such as:
Ā· Utilizing intelligence information to track illegal operations, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or contraband while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.
Ā· Leading investigations of fraud, contraband, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or illegal operations to determine sources and patterns while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.
Ā· Apprehending violators of state, federal, or immigration laws by utilizing various forms of complex technology that include surveillance, detection, situation awareness systems, and/or communications equipment.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.
There are no education substitutions for the GL-9 or GS-11 grade-level Border Patrol Agent opportunities.
Other Requirements:
Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (including protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Border Patrol Agent position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03. The age restriction may not apply if you are currently serving or have previously served in a federal civilian law enforcement (non-military) position covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d).
Veterans' Preference: You may also be eligible for an excepted service Veterans' Recruitment Appointment (VRA). The age restriction does not apply if you are Veterans' Preference eligible.
Formal Training: After you are hired, you will be detailed to the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico, for approximately six (6) months of intensive instruction in immigration and nationality laws, law enforcement, and USBP-specific operations, driver training, physical techniques, firearms, and other courses. Border Patrol work requires the ability to speak and read Spanish, as well as English. Border Patrol Agents will be provided training to become proficient in the Spanish language at the Academy.

Position overview:
The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Division of Medical Programs is seeking to hire a Deputy Administrator for Policy to lead policy analysis and development for Medicaid and other medical assistance programs. The Deputy Administrator for Policy will provide strategic direction to Medicaid policy advisors and subject matter experts to inform and lead the policy work behind the development and implementation of:

Essential Functions
* Serves as Deputy Administrator for Policy for the Division of Medical Programs in providing strategic development and analysis of health policy affecting all medical programs such as Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), or other medical assistance programs supporting coverage and access to healthcare
* Serves as full line supervisor
* Plans and directs complex, sensitive, and technical operations relating to the development and administration of medical assistance program policies in the Division, including fee-for-service and managed care policies and programs
* Establishes and implements policies, standards, and procedural guidelines for operations carried out through assigned program areas
* Serves as Agency spokesperson
* Represents the Administrator by serving on advisory committees, conducting public presentations, and testifying before the General Assembly

Minimum Qualifications
* Requires completion of four (4) years of college with coursework in public policy, public administration, business administration, or similar field of study

Preferred Qualifications
* Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in government healthcare policy development or public program management
* Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience working in or with a Medicaid agency or other government health program
* Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience establishing statewide program goals and managing a large agency program related to healthcare, such as Medicaid, Medicare, the Marketplace, or other government healthcare program
* Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience planning government program activities mandated by legislation/regulation and monitoring adherence to federal and state rules and regulations
* Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience conferring with members of the General Assembly, Federal Government Officials, other State agencies and outside stakeholders, including community-based organizations, provider associations, and Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace, or other health plan enrollees
* Thorough knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, the Marketplace, and the Affordable Care Act, eligibility and coverage requirements for government healthcare programs, and government healthcare legislation and financing mechanisms

Job SummaryWe are seeking a professional Security Guard to join our team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and secure environment. You will protect our premises, assets, and employees and prevent any illegal or inappropriate occurrences. The ideal candidate has experience with public safety and security and operates with a high degree of integrity at all times.
Responsibilities
Patrol the premises and maintain a high level of visibility
Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized personnel access the facility
Remove trespassers when necessary
Monitor surveillance cameras
Respond to reports of suspicious activity
Report on daily activities and any security incidents
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar position is preferred
High school diploma/GED
ILLINOIS PERC CARD
Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures
Excellent written communication skills and report writing ability

Responsibilities
Monitor designated streets, lots, garages, other public areas and/or an entire campus to ensure compliance with parking policies.
Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations and parking policies.
Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance with a computerized hand held computer or manual tickets. Impound, boot or relocate vehicles as directed.
This position requires the ability to work alone and therefore must exercise proper judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with people.
Assist maintenance staff with duties related to parking equipment and facility upkeep and maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: inspecting and assessing lots for maintenance issues, painting, cleaning and repairing parking meters and pay and display machines, installing signs, sign posts and meter posts.
Assist in the collection and security of all monies received through parking meters, multi-space machines , pay on foot technology and any other means of collecting parking revenues and fees.
Assist event staff with activities related to parking for events. This includes but is not limited to: setting up for events, traffic control, receipt of payment for parking, and lot usage control.
Assist office staff with activities related to permit sales during peak seasons. This includes but is not limited to data entry, collating mailings, providing frontline customer service.
Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualification Requirements: The personnel selected for parking enforcement officer positions must have certain traits and abilities that enable them to achieve expected levels of performance. Some of the most important competencies are exercising sound independent judgment and maintaining a high level of customer service. Other areas include:
Knowledge of geography of the area they are enforcing
Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions
Ability to use a hand held computer
Ability to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle
Ability to understand and apply parking regulations
Ability to interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner
Ability to walk for extended periods of time
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire
Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs. If applicable, availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends may be required.
License Requirement: The individual will be required to have and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and listen. Employees are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including snow storms, and extreme heat.
Employees work in and around potentially dangerous traffic situations, and employees are to be safety conscious at all times.
Salary Range: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour

**Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Be at least 21 years of age.
+ Minimum of 3 years of verifiable civilian law enforcement experience OR an equivalent position with the

+ The experience must include general arrest authority.
+ All three (3) years shall have occurred within the last seven (7) years.
+ Must have successfully completed or graduated from a certified Federal, state, county, local or military law enforcement training academy or program that provided instruction on the use of police powers in an armed capacity while dealing with the public.
+ The certificate shall be recognized by a Federal, state, county, local or military authority, and provide evidence that an individual is eligible for employment as a law enforcement officer.
