About this Position
Serve as an Unarmed Security Officer at the OSUCOM-CN Tahlequah campus. As part of the Oklahoma State University Police Department's Tulsa Division, you will be a valued member of the unarmed security team assigned to the Tahlequah campus. In this role, you will provide safety and security services to students, faculty, staff, and visitors at our state-of-the-art facility. You are entrusted with fostering a safe and inclusive environment through active engagement and proactive security patrols, contributing to the overall mission of the department and the university community.

Job Summary:
To maintain peace for City of Claremore by patrolling, enforcing and investigating city ordinances, State and Federal laws. This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug testing. Must be between the ages of 21 and 45 years of age, unless otherwise meets eligibility requirements under the Oklahoma Police Pension & Retirement System. Must have at least 64 hours of college credit from an accredited college or university, or must have at least 32 hours of college credit from an accredited college or university AND at least three years of full-time active-duty military service with any branch of the US Military with an honorable discharge, or must have at least 32 hours of college credit from an accredited college or university AND at least three years of fulltime experience as a first responder which includes police officers with arrest powers, firefighters, or paramedic/EMT.
Must not have been convicted of a felony, nor have more than 3 moving traffic violations in the past 5 years, nor have in excess of one at fault accident and two moving traffic violations in the past 5 years, nor been convicted of operating or being in actual physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of or impaired by alcohol or drugs (i.e. D.U.I., D.W.I., A.P.C., etc), nor been convicted of careless or reckless driving in the past 7 years.
