Gather information in criminal investigations by interviewing and obtaining the statements of victims, witnesses, suspects, and confidential informers. Pursue fleeing suspects and perform rescue operations which may involve quickly entering and exiting a law enforcement patrol vehicle. This position requires a good driving record and a valid driver's license from the state wherein he/she resides. Must possess the willingness and ability to follow instructions from supervisors. This position is required to successfully complete state and federal mandated programs and refresher courses and also required to participate in reoccurring in-service training programs as ordered by the Police Chief. Must attain a qualifying score on a firearms' course twice a year.
