History The Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union was established in 1976 by the founders of the Polish & Slavic Center led by Rev.

The PSFCU has been serving Greenpoint since 1976, aiding immigrants new to the neighborhood who were turned away from traditional banks when they applied for home loans.

1981

In 1981, the PSFCU opened its headquarters at 140 Greenpoint Avenue.

1987

In 1987, our Union opened a second branch located in Union, NJ, offering its services to the vast community of Polish immigrants residing in that part of the state of New Jersey.

2007

Since 2007, Greenpointers has been a neighborhood connector and hyperlocal resource for all things North Brooklyn covering the latest news, happenings, events, food and culture.

2010

On January 30, 2010 our Credit Union has crossed the borders of yet another state, opening its first 2 branches in Chicago, Illinois.
