My experience at Polston has been great! You really can't beat the culture and the flexible hours. They really do seem to be focused on making sure the clients are taken care of and that's what's most important
The clients are very stressed out. They are anxious before they hire us and agitated throughout the process. Preparing tax returns is only as fast as the client is able to provide us with information, reaching an agreement with the IRS can drag on, and it is frustrating to us and the clients. I don't love that.
Too many to count. The culture for sure. The compassion they show the team. The drive of the people I work with. The focus on productivity combined with a great work-life balance for me. I like working hard and it's nice to be with other people with the same work ethic.
The leaders really care about the team. They say it and it shows. I have received texts from the owners following up on something that happened in my family months after it happened to see how I was doing. That really meant a lot to me.
Sometimes its tough for the people who don't have remote positions to make it to their kids activities without taking time off.

It's comparable to other places I've worked.
It's okay.
