Essential Duties
* Sets up, starts and runs all machinery
* Weighs ingredients to meet recipe specification and inserts into machinery, or ensures the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area and inserts pre-blended materials into machinery
* Monitors production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Troubleshoots equipment and processing issues
* Operates machinery to mix, extrude/discharge or handle materials
* May take samples of materials to lab for evaluation and instructions on any batch adjustments if needed

Qualifications

Job Description
The ProductionOperator is responsible for setting up, loading and operatingproduction machines, and making necessary adjustments to ensure the quality of the product meets required specifications. The ProductionOperator may work in one of three areas - Spooling, Stranding or Closing, and is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the machines. The ProductionOperator works under the direct supervision of a Production Supervisor and the technical oversight of the Process Engineering and Quality department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Record set-up information at the start of each order.
Remove empty bobbins from the previously completed order and load full bundles of wire or bobbins using appropriate lifting devices.
Weld or knot new wire new supply to trailing end of previous order (if applicable).
Thread machine by pulling wire or strands through guides, tension rollers, and/or stranding or pre-forming heads.
Secure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding/pre-forming head, crushing rollers, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.
Set the proper lay according to order specifications.
Adjust tension and die pressure at the beginning of the order and as required throughout the entire order.
Start lube pump as required by the order.
Inspect and replace tensioning devices as needed.
Inspect the set-change, including cutting a strand for helix-height measurement before requesting approval from the production supervisor.
Properly tag product, stage in proper storage area, and record all production.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Perform all job duties in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.

Job Description
The ProductionOperator is responsible for setting up, loading and operatingproduction machines, and making necessary adjustments to ensure the quality of the product meets required specifications. The ProductionOperator may work in one of three areas - Spooling, Stranding or Closing, and is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the machines. The ProductionOperator works under the direct supervision of a Production Supervisor and the technical oversight of the Process Engineering and Quality department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Record set-up information at the start of each order.
Remove empty bobbins from the previously completed order and load full bundles of wire or bobbins using appropriate lifting devices.
Weld or knot new wire new supply to trailing end of previous order (if applicable).
Thread machine by pulling wire or strands through guides, tension rollers, and/or stranding or pre-forming heads.
Secure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding/pre-forming head, crushing rollers, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.
Set the proper lay according to order specifications.
Adjust tension and die pressure at the beginning of the order and as required throughout the entire order.
Start lube pump as required by the order.
Inspect and replace tensioning devices as needed.
Inspect the set-change, including cutting a strand for helix-height measurement before requesting approval from the production supervisor.
Properly tag product, stage in proper storage area, and record all production.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Perform all job duties in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.

Job Description
Production Associates perform any type of general labor that supports safely meeting production demand while maintaining housekeeping throughout the plant. The work is performed mostly outdoors subjecting Production Associates to inclement weather such as snow, rain, hot, and cold weather. Checks rod or breakdown wire to conform with requirements and places in proper position on poles, stands, or flippers, using a forklift when necessary. Cuts tie wires, straightens tangled coils, and breakdown wire if a new setup is required; otherwise, welds the top of new material to the bottom of the material running out. Threads pointed end through die and around block in accordance with standard procedure or as directed by Supervisor. Strings up machine in prescribed manner.
Checks wire size and adjusts die boxes to obtain proper castand cuts test samples. Gauges wire with micrometer, operates tensile and torsion machine to test samples, and records test data on form. Checks optical temperatures and wire speeds. Checks weights of carriers or spools on special length jobs.
Checks wire tolerances after each spool, respool, or coil and sample. Records wire diameters on appropriate paperwork.
Repairs all breaks, exercising good judgment. Sets counter to prescribed count or standard setting. Changes heads, bonnets, pins and shafts, if necessary. Cleans water lines, steam nozzles, water jets, and water drains as needed. Maintains proper lubricants in all die boxes and replenishes as needed.
Removes spool or coil from the machine, replaces empty spool, starts machine, and ties up bundle or spool. Ensures that all material is properly tagged and placed on proper pallets or skids.
Checks machines, tools, and auxiliary equipment to be sure they are operating efficiently and safely. Performs minor maintenance to correct problems and ensures maintenance is notified of problems requiring corrective action.
Regularly performs safety inspections in the area and corrects problems where possible. Reports other problems to maintenance or Supervisor for corrective action. Responsible for housekeeping in the area.
Ensures all material is packaged according to customer specifications and is prepared for shipment. Loads and unloads trucks and keeps material in a neat and orderly manner. Inspects forklifts daily and logs inspection on proper form. Monitors and maintains proper fluid and fuel levels as required. Operates forklifts in a safe and orderly manner.
Assures that finished products meet quality standards and specifications.
Assists other employees in work group or other work groups as needed. Responsible for the pass down of operating information, problems, etc., to co-workers on the next shift.

Perform setup and adjustments according to work instruction specifications.

What you'll do:
This Manufacturing Technician I - Power Factor Correction (PFC) will assemble, fit and mount sub-assemblies, components, and standard and near standard fixed assemblies in Motor Control Centers, Enclosed Control and related assemblies and sub-assemblies. Perform assembly required for test preparation and final inspection. Assemble and wire units, relay panels, panel boards, space heaters, and control panels. Bend and install power cable and leads, fabricate pre-cable unit, panel and MTB harnesses, and power leads. Use established power checking procedures and equipment to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled. Stage parts for customer orders.
In this function you will:
• Work from oral or written instructions from supervision and/or prints, inspection reports, manufacturing information sheets, and standard or near standard wiring diagrams.
• Utilize manufacturing information sheets, determine necessary parts, write requisitions, and obtain materials from stock areas.
• Read shop orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures such as component types and configuration, mounting locations and clearances required.
• Assemble and fit parts and components to form sub-assemblies, or completed assemblies.
• Assemble and wire control devices, cutting wires to length.
• Make adjustments to insure correct alignment and clearances.
• Install units, pan assemblies and cover up steel, meters, kirk keys, pull boxes, reactors, relays, fuses, MTB assemblies, panel boards, space heaters, transformers, etc. by mounting / bolting into place. Assemble and install bus work such as lug adapters, cross over bus, splices, etc.
• Make pre-bent cable unit, MTB and control panel harnesses using pre-cable boards, control panels and hand crimp lugs if necessary. Cut, install and connect wire and/or cable in units where circuitry requires additional relays, timers, fuses, etc. Cut, form and connect control wire, power wire and cable, point to point on units, relay panels, control panels, and space heaters
