Responsibility
Work with experts in the field of self-driving vehicles on designing and developing large-scale foundation models trained on vast amounts of real world data.
Frame the open-ended real-world problems into well-defined ML problems; develop and apply cutting-edge ML approaches (deep learning, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, etc) to these problems; scale them to data pipelines; and streamline them to run in real-time on the cars.
Develop and deploy deep learning models, including vision language models (VLMs) and Large Language Models (LLMs)
Design and implement multi-modality and multi-task models focusing on 3D object detection and tracking, segmentation, semantics understanding, video understanding, scene understanding, traffic control, or trajectory prediction, etc.
Optimize deep learning models to run robustly under tight run-time constraints.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Masters or PhD program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or similar field
Strong background in deep learning, with experience in model design, training and evaluation.
Experience with deep learning research and tools.
Proficiency in software design and development using Python and C++.

Responsibility
The ML Infrastructure team at Pony.ai provides a set of tools to support and automate the lifecycle of the AI workflow, including model development, evaluation, optimization, deployment, and monitoring.
As a Machine Learning Engineer in ML Runtime & Optimization, you will be developing technologies to accelerate the training and inferences of the AI models in autonomous driving systems.

Responsibility
As an ADAS Safety Engineer you will work on the safety of our autonomous driving features and ADAS features. A major contribution will be the elicitation of functional safety requirements and the development of verification and validation methods for Functional Safety and SOTIF. This includes the analysis of triggering events like misuse scenarios, changing environment conditions and other potential hazards associated with our ADAS features. In this role, you will use your technical skills and work cross functionally to develop engineering solutions based on existing automotive industry standards (Ie. ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600, IEEE 2846, etc.) that help define development processes, requirements, and verification of safety and performance.
Define creative technical solutions to improve performance and safety of ADAS features
Develop work products in accordance with our internal safety process based on existing industry standards
Perform hazard analysis and risk assessment based on a functional system specification and identify risk acceptance criteria
Identify potential functional insufficiencies and triggering events by utilizing analysis techniques such as HAZOP, FTA, FMEA, STPA, and misuse analysis
Collaborate cross functionally to ensure that our ADAS feature safety concepts and requirements are aligned with the overall system design strategy.
Derive verification and validation test cases to demonstrate the safety of ADAS features
Provide feedback and improve the internal development processes
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 3+ years of relevant experience
Strong ADAS system engineering background
Working knowledge of relevant standards and methods such as ISO 26262 and ISO 21448

As a (Senior) Kubernetes Engineer, you will:
Design, operate, and optimize Kubernetes clusters across hybrid cloud environments (public cloud and on-prem datacenter).

Responsibility
As an ADAS Safety Engineer you will work on the safety of our autonomous driving features and ADAS features. A major contribution will be the elicitation of functional safety requirements and the development of verification and validation methods for Functional Safety and SOTIF. This includes the analysis of triggering events like misuse scenarios, changing environment conditions and other potential hazards associated with our ADAS features. In this role, you will use your technical skills and work cross functionally to develop engineering solutions based on existing automotive industry standards (Ie. ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600, IEEE 2846, etc.) that help define development processes, requirements, and verification of safety and performance.
Define creative technical solutions to improve performance and safety of ADAS features
Develop work products in accordance with our internal safety process based on existing industry standards
Perform hazard analysis and risk assessment based on a functional system specification and identify risk acceptance criteria
Identify potential functional insufficiencies and triggering events by utilizing analysis techniques such as HAZOP, FTA, FMEA, STPA, and misuse analysis
Collaborate cross functionally to ensure that our ADAS feature safety concepts and requirements are aligned with the overall system design strategy.
Derive verification and validation test cases to demonstrate the safety of ADAS features
Provide feedback and improve the internal development processes
Requirements

About The Role

Responsibility
Design and develop innovative and scalable solutions for challenges related to HD mapping in autonomous driving
Write and maintain software that runs both in vehicles and cloud-based environments
Build backend infrastructure (e.g., geospatial databases, ML systems and UI tools) to manage and process map data
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Perception, Planning & Control) to enhance the overall performance and reliability of autonomous driving systems
Requirements
BS, MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or other related fields
Strong programming skills in C++
Software engineering experience
Strong mathematical skills

Responsibility
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Onboard Infrastructure team. In this role, you will collaborate with world-class engineers to design, build, and maintain the core systems and toolchain that empower the development of fully autonomous driving technologies. You will be responsible for both the in-vehicle systems and offline infrastructures that power our end-to-end development cycle-including replay, simulation, and system diagnostics. You will build robust infrastructure to enable efficient performance evaluation, large-scale data processing, and fast iteration for mission-critical systems.
* Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient pipelines to support development and deployment of autonomous driving software on vehicle platforms and in offline environments.
* Optimize build and test performance by analyzing bottlenecks, caching strategies, and test topology.
* Develop and maintain scalable simulation and replay platforms to evaluate vehicle software behavior
* Design and implement interactive dashboards and data visualization tools to surface insights across vehicle and simulation data.
* Collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure the infrastructure supports cross-functional needs, including real-time systems, simulation, and machine learning modules.
