We are seeking a highly motivated individual to traffic on-air marketing inventory and maintain TEGNA digital marketing inventory. The position will be responsible for the marketing materials and copy maintenance for multiple stations within a TEGNA region. This candidate must be highly detailed, meet high standards of accuracy, have outstanding organizational skills, and be able to problem-solve under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working with WideOrbit Traffic & Sales systems, along with a strong understanding of inventory management, ad operations, and broadcast/digital sales workflows. This hybrid position reports directly to the Director of Inventory & Operations and can be based in any TEGNA market.
Responsibilities:
• Execute the entry of traffic materials for marketing assets with high accuracy while providing exceptional customer service to clients, agencies, and TEGNA stakeholders.
• Retrieve necessary information regarding traffic instructions and materials, view materials for quality control, and ensure material locations on the material server and in WideOrbit are up-to-date and accurate.
• Ensure marketing materials are received and logs are completed by the daily log deadline.
• Work closely with internal regional marketing directors, marketing producers, commercial production personnel, and stakeholders professionally and respectfully.
• Monitor station marketing contracts to ensure copy is up-to-date and accurate.
• Proactively identify inventory gaps and opportunities to support marketing goals.

• Work with the Regional Marketing Director to determine and identify monthly priority marketing assets.
• Maintain monthly priority and evergreen marketing asset fill lists for TSC and the Regional Marketing Directors.
• Work with the Regional Marketing Directors to manage, integrate, and implement sales/promotion assets effectively.
• Coordinate with the TCO team to add or reduce marketing inventory across markets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve WideOrbit system issues and provide guidance to staff on best practices.

Digital Responsibilities:

Primary Function:
The essential function of this position is to be responsible for inspecting Product, and as needed selecting inventory, to match Customer Specifications. Primary direction for allocations will come from Department Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor. There will be a need to liaise with Shipping and/or Production Managers regarding selection of product for specific customer orders, use existing systems to “firm plan” product to orders. This individual is responsible for a wide variety of duties including but not limited to the description provided below.
SHIFTS OFFERED ARE:
** Full-time Rotation 3 Day & 4 Day - B3 6 p.m. - 5:30 a.m.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Inspect and sign off on product quality in inventory and/or at dock to meet customers' specifications
Support Commodity Supervisors plan to create daily Production and Sales Order allocations
Communicate all necessary changes to Commodity Supervisor, if needing to differ from prior allocations and/or plan
Follow up to ensure any rework is allocated and/or planned in order to meet customer specifications
Ensure allocations are updated and distributed, throughout the day, and executed as expected
Utilize, coach, and provide training to others within the commodity team
Maintain a line of sight on expected inbounds 0 - 3 days out
Work with the Inventory Clerks to routinely audit and verify inventory counts and product rotation for accuracy
Coordinate and assist in communicating customers' expectations with the commodity team, Production, and Shipping
Communicate with the team on issues and concerns
Develop, lead, mentor and set objectives for the commodity team
Maintain and communicate metrics to the team, including but not limited to information on rejections, product dumps/donates, inventory flow, etc.
Maintain regular communication with the Production Schedulers, and Production Managers
Maintain regular communication with Receiving, with specific emphasis on load priorities and product specifications
When necessary make suggestions to Commodity Supervisor for the disposal/movement of surplus commodities in a timely fashion
Be heavily involved in utilizing internal systems and have the ability to communicate technical needs for purposes of improving the performance of the commodity team
Basic Qualifications:
Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision and take ownership of job
Comfortable making decisions without direct supervision
Must have strong communication skills.
Detail oriented.
Will need to learn significant Product / Industry knowledge.
Must be high-performance team player and be willing to work in a dynamic, growing, demanding and fast-paced environment
Must be a self-starter and willing to work flexible hours
Background check and Drug Screening required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be proficient in the use of the English language with the ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written formats
Previous supervisory experience is preferred
