PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: * Enforcing all pool rules * Preventing injuries and minimizing hazardous situations * Providing patron surveillance whenever a patron is swimming * Handling all injuries, accidents, and emergency situations as they arise (contact Senior Lifeguard for any assistance) * Arriving to work on time * Instruct various ages in swimming, water safety, and other aquatic programming * Completing assigned cleaning duties * Attending in-service training as scheduled * Provide courteous and friendly first-in-class guest service * Greet guests and provide information and way finding as needed * Operate ticket sales booth and handle cash * Be knowledgeable about facility programs (format, pricing, meeting dates/times) * Be knowledgeable of and enforce venue policies and procedures * Maintain confidentiality and discretion with guest and Team Member information * Professionally resolve guest concerns and complaints and/or direct to appropriate manager * Maintain a clean space and perform regular walk-throughs (indoor/outdoor) to ensure venue cleanliness * Supervise and enforce rules during events * Attending in-service training as scheduled * Complete special projects, daily assignments, and other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Current certification in Deep Water Lifeguard Training by the American Red Cross and First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards or able to complete training and earn certification within 30 days of hire * Strong communication and organizational skills * Ability to work well with others * Must be at least 16 years of age or older WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Will frequently be required to walk, swim, sit * Will be required to use hands and fingers, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms * Will be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl * Will occasionally lift, pull, push and/or move heavy items * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus * May work in outside weather conditions and be exposed to outside temperatures ranging from 80-105 degrees * Minimal duties are performed in direct sunlight and will be exposed to hot, wet, and humid conditions * Exposure to cleaning chemicals that must be handled with extreme caution

Job Title: Lifeguard Report to: Manager/Assistant Manager Qualifications: Must have current/valid American Red Cross Lifesaving certification, CPR, and First Aid for Professional Rescuers certifications. Experience: Previous experience as a lifeguard is desirable. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of principles and practices of pool rules, policies and procedures. Duties: (It must be stressed that this is a partial list only. Job duties shall include, but are not limited to: Assisting co-workers in duties necessary for the proper upkeep and maintenance of the pool. Managing and maintaining the safety and welfare of the patrons who use the pool and preventing accidents through enforcement of policies, rules, and regulations governing the conduct of individuals using the pool. Being alert at all times and be constantly on the lookout for incidents occurring in the water or on the deck. Will render First Aid and/or CPR when necessary. Reporting definite or potential physical hazards, unsafe conditions or complaints of patrons to management. Ensuring that all lifeguard equipment is in good working and safe condition. Put equipment away at the end of the day. Never leaving the pool unattended. NOT eating while on duty on the pool deck. Will be assigned additional duties as deemed necessary by the manager/assistant manager for the successful operation of the pool.

Part-time lifeguard position. At a private tennis and swimming club on Cleveland's East Side. Week day morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available. You must be able to work weekends. You must be a certified lifeguard. Your certification must be current. Great job for a student. Pay based on your experience. We are also looking for a part time experienced Learn To Swim Instructor. We are searching for someone with teaching and life guarding experience. We teach group and private lessons all year long at our indoor and outdoor facilities. Handle all incidents in a manner appropriate to your training. Complete all injury reports. Perform other duties assigned.
