By November of 1952, The Population Council, Inc., was incorporated “…to stimulate, encourage, promote, conduct and support significant activities in the broad field of population.”

1953

In 1953 the RF began supporting a Harvard School of Public Health study of population problems in rural India.

1955

In 1955, the Fund gave almost half a million dollars for general support to help the Council establish its footing.
