TBAs may be assigned to any Port Authority facility including the George Washington Bridge, Holland Tunnel or Lincoln Tunnel and Staten Island Crossings (Goethals Bridge, Bayonne Bridge and Outerbridge Crossing). Responsibilities Responsibilities of a TBA during an emergency include, but are not limited to: Patrolling assigned areas to control and expedite the movement of traffic in accordance with traffic regulations. Audit consultant engineering studies, designs and contract documents for construction projects. Minimum Qualifications Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of New York or State of New Jersey. Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering college or university. Minimum of eight (8) years of professional engineering experience in design for civil infrastructure. including any of the following: airfields, stormwater and sanitary sewer collection systems, water distribution systems, roadway design, pavements, or trackwork Working knowledge in Civil 3D software application Desired Qualifications Working knowledge of guidelines and standards such, but not limited to, FAA circulars, AASHTO or AREMA Demonstrated experience in problem solving, decision making, negotiations and conflict resolution skills to effectively reach sound conclusions and recommendations. Proven ability to lead, manage, and prioritize multiple assignments with multiple disciplines. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize as required. Proficiency in preparing contract documents; drawings and technical specifications. Excellent presentation and written communication skills. Proficient in the use of software applications Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. The expected compensation range for this role is: Minimum: $107,250 Midpoint: $139,430 Maximum: $171,600 In accordance with Port Authority policy, this position permits employees to work remotely a maximum of one day per week, subject to operational and business needs.
