Responsibilities
Regular site housekeeping and unsafe hazard inspections
Takes corrective action to address any conditions that are not acceptable
Changes light bulbs as appropriate
Responds immediately to any spills
Empties trash receptacles
Performs light mechanical maintenance
Ability to perform significant amount of physical activity including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, moving various items, and shoveling snow.
Reports safety hazards and larger maintenance problems to a Supervisor
Cleans hanging signs and dusts overhead pipes
Maintains and reports inventory of supplies to Supervisor
Completes the Employee Daily Checklist and addresses unsatisfactory remarks
All other duties as may be assigned based on operational needs
Qualifications
Previous hazardous materials training, janitorial and light maintenance work history preferred.
Verbal and written communication skills in English in order to follow directions
Able to lift up to 40-80lbs
Ability to work in inclement weather
Able to work independently
Able to sit/stand for long periods of time
Ability to read, understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MDS) and complete reports
High School Education or equivalent
