Job Description
We are hiring a full-time Porter/Cleaner to join the maintenance team at a residential community in Fairfield, CT. The Porter/Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the property, ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. Duties include cleaning common areas, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and exterior grounds, as well as assisting the maintenance team with light tasks when needed.
This position offers a starting pay rate of $22 per hour, with an increase to $23 per hour after 90 days based on performance and reliability. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Compensation:
$22 - $23 hourly
Responsibilities:
Responsible for meticulous upkeep/cleanliness of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, common areas, parking lots, and other community buildings.
Cleaning of hallways, windows, corridors, and elevators.
Remove trash and recycling daily from the building and transport to the outside dumpster areas.
Remove trash from the community perimeter daily.
Assist senior maintenance staff on work orders and other duties as assigned.
Assist with package delivery.
Qualifications:
Must be courteous, professional, and reliable.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Previous related experience preferred.
Understanding of appliance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry repair is a plus.
Must have a valid driver's license.
