This position is Tuesday's 1pm - 7pm at the Central Park South residence and Friday's from 9am - 2pm at the SoHo residence. The ideal candidate must be proactive, extremely detailed oriented, and have the ability to multi-task to keep the home in pristine order. Candidate must be flexible to days when the Executive is in town. Looking for someone who has worked in private residences that deals with private Art collection. Under the supervision of the Superintendent, the Day Porter will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all. May require minor repair and maintenance activities in public areas. ***We currently have multiple open positions for Full-Time and Part-Time Porter's to join our team. *** Work schedule: Monday - Sunday; Day Shift Location: These positions are all located in Queens in the Astoria and Corona/Rego area. All properties are Senior Housing. Pay: $17 per hour Responsibilities include but are not limited to: + Perform custodial and commercial cleaning duties as assigned. + Maintain cleanliness of facilities through dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash & recycling removal. + Conduct floor care including buffing, waxing, and polishing. + Assist in cleaning tasks as needed. + Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies. + Assist in work orders with Superintendent. + Assist in preparation of physical audit and inspections. + Perform all other duties as necessary. + Must be able to work overtime and cover vacations. + Subject to take maintenance related training/certifications. ** Requirements: + High School Diploma or GED + Approximately 1-3 years of experience in maintenance, housekeeping, or custodial services. + Great customer service/communication skills. + Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing. + Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning. + Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks. + Physical requirements include walking and standing during the entire shift (often 4-8 hours), climbing stairs, kneeling to clean floors, pushing and pulling objects, lifting and moving objects (up to 50 lbs.), repetitive bending and lifting, and repetitive arm movement. + Must be able to operate a tablet and email notifications via Outlook. + Must be on call on winter months for snow removal (Any time of the day there is snow accumulation).
