Laundry Aide Essential Functions
Laundry Aide will follow established policies/procedures of laundry tasks
Use proper protocols for picking up soiled linens, including isolation linens, and transporting them to the laundry department
Use proper protective clothing/equipment while performing laundry duties
Laundry Aide will maintain all cleaning schedules for each assigned area and following the laundry department schedules
Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights, privacy and property are protected at all times
Report and document resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility's policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system
Qualifications
Housekeeper/ Laundry Aide Requirements/Qualifications:
Housekeeper must have a thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective housekeeping practices within the State of employment.
Have the ability to be a team player to partner with other departments
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required
The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc in excess of 50 lbs
Must be able to do constant walking, bending, lifting and standing for long periods during a scheduled shift
