The Porter will be required to perform basic maintenance tasks. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties & Responsibilities: Ensures daily interior cleanliness of buildings by performing general cleaning tasks in common areas, such as cleaning up spills, cleaning windows and window coverings vacuuming, sweeping, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors. Handles daily trash removal including emptying of the building's compactors, breaking down and tying up cardboard boxes, and bringing trash and recyclables curbside for removal by department of sanitation. Prepares vacant units for occupancy, removing all items left behind and leave units in broom swept condition. Performs exterior building and premises cleaning and basic maintenance, including exterior walls parking lots and structures, walkways and paths, gardens and lawns, outdoor furnishings, pools, curbs, gutters, exterior hallways and stairwells. Performs light maintenance activities including, replacing light bulbs, air filters, blinds, shades and other items as directed. Responsible for placing mats/runners in inclement weather and assist in weather related cleaning conditions, such as snow removal or storm preparations. Reports any unsafe conditions, unlocked doors in restricted areas, and potential security breaches on the grounds to the manager/supervisor Performs other related duties as assigned.
