Key Responsibilities: Manage U.S. tax compliance and consulting engagements for partnerships, corporations, and other entities in the asset management industry Review and prepare U.S. tax returns and forms including but not limited to: Form 1065, Form 1120, Form 1120-F, Form 1040-NR Form 5471, Form 8865, Form 8858, Form 8938, Form 1118, Form 8621 FATCA and CRS-related reporting Analyze and apply U.S. Subchapter K (Partnership Tax), Subchapter C (Corporate Tax), PFIC and CFC rules Assist clients with tax structuring and cross-border planning including inbound and outbound investment strategies Prepare and review tax workpapers, allocations, M-1 adjustments, and tax basis schedules Advise on fund formation, investment structuring, and exit planning Liaise with clients, legal counsel, auditors, and tax authorities as needed Supervise and mentor junior staff, and manage project timelines and deliverables Monitor and interpret changes in U.S. tax legislation relevant to asset managers operating offshore Qualifications: CPA (U.S.), EA (Enrolled Agent), CTA (UK), ACA, or LL.M. in Taxation Minimum of 212+ years of relevant U.S. tax experience, ideally within a Big 4, mid-tier, or in-house financial services tax team Extensive experience with U.S. partnership and corporate tax compliance, international information reporting, and asset management clients Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal income tax and cross-border taxation matters Working knowledge of common structures including master-feeder funds, blockers, and offshore investment vehicles Prior exposure to international jurisdictions including FATCA, CRS, and local regulatory frameworks is an asset Excellent interpersonal and project management skills What the Role Offers: Relocation support, including accommodation, transportation, and flights for the candidate and their family.
