    The Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) Department of Diagnostic Radiology is seeking a well-trained, subspecialized radiologist to join an MSK imaging team dedicated to outstanding patient care, resident and fellow teaching, and academic excellence. The current practice consists of six core MSK faculty members (all Society of Skeletal Radiology members and one International Skeletal Society member) and two MSK fellows per year. Function/Duties of Position The position is 100% MSK subspecialized and hybrid in nature with work-from-home flexibility. Clinical responsibilities include general MSK radiographs, MRI and CT (including sports, oncology, rheumatology), diagnostic MSK ultrasound, and attendance at interdisciplinary conferences. The section also performs a high volume of fluoroscopy, CT and US-guided procedures, including spine and extremity biopsies, osteoid osteoma radiofrequency ablations, and joint injections. All faculty members are provided with a home workstation. Approximately 50% of the clinical work as well as on-call duties are undertaken from home while the remainder of the work is performed at OHSU's main hospital. There is no overnight call. All faculty members are provided with at least one academic day per week with additional time available as dictated by varying department roles/responsibilities. For interested faculty members, additional moonlighting opportunities are also available. As the only academic medical center in the state of Oregon, OHSU provides a full spectrum of care to a large and diverse population, including an active transplant program and the Knight Cancer Institute. Accordingly, the department has state of the art imaging equipment and sees patients with a wide mix of complexity and pathology. Academic activities within the section are centered on the promotion of excellence in the evidence-based application, performance, and interpretation of MSK Imaging. The campus offers excellent opportunities for multidisciplinary research, with a history of innovative and collaborative studies. OHSU is home to numerous specialized research centers and institutes, including one of the first Clinical and Translational Sciences Award-funded programs in the country (the Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Institute), the Advanced Imaging Research Center (dedicated to improving medical imaging), the Knight Cancer Institute, the Dotter Interventional Institute, the Center for Spatial Systems Biomedicine (dedicated to elucidating the structural and mechanical properties of cells and tissues), and the Oregon National Primate Research Center. The Knight Cancer Institute is the only NCI-designated Cancer Center in Oregon. Educational responsibilities will include teaching at all levels commensurate with a large academic center, including medical student, resident, fellow and postgraduate training. Required Qualifications Candidates must be ABR board certifying eligible after passing the ABR Core Exam and successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency. International Medical Graduates are eligible for the position provided they have a valid ECFMG certificate, have completed an ACGME-accredited residency and ABR Core Exam, or are otherwise board-eligible through the ABR IMG Alternate Pathway program.     The Oncology Clinical Social Worker supports patients at OHSU's Community Hematology Oncology (CHO) clinics who have experienced a cancer or hematology diagnosis. The CHO clinic social workers may support patients at one or more of the CHO locations located around the Portland Metro area (NW, Tualatin, Beaverton, East Portland, and Gresham). Social workers in this role will support adult cancer patients and their support people, under the care of a physician at the Knight Cancer Institute. The OCSW will complete assessments, provide resources, and emotional/behavioral support for patients receiving medical oncology services and may consult as part of the outpatient Palliative Care team. The OCSW may attend tumor boards, clinic staff meetings or care rounds as appropriate. Individuals will be expected to cross-cover for their CHO social work colleagues for planned and unplanned absences. Evaluates normal/abnormal anatomy and any related abnormalities or artifacts for presentation to Radiologist using knowledge and principals of nuclear medicine, Gamma Camera planar, SPECT, SPECT/CT and PET/CT physics. Recognizes and reports significant situations relating to patient care. Participates in research protocols under the supervision of physicians and supervisor. CT Imaging: Provides quality multi-slice computed CT applications to acquire exams with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal skills and knowledge of equipment. Documents and demonstrates knowledge and skill to evaluate normal /abnormal anatomy and any related pathologies for presentation to the Radiologist. Demonstrates knowledge and skill in CT physics. Exercises responsible judgment in recognizing and reporting significant situations relating to patient care. Prepares and instructs the patient for the diagnostic study using age appropriate communication skills. Optimizes each image during the examination to obtain the highest quality study with the least discomfort to the patient. Must be able to perform all ranges of exams after completion of technical competencies. Continues to stay current in regards to new CT technology hardware and software upgrades. Duties (GMW1): General - mows and edges lawns and fields with the use of push and riding lawnmowers, tractors, and power edgers; plants, transplants, fertilizes, and waters lawns, shrubs, bedding plants, ground cover, and trees with tools such as hoes, trowels, and shovels; cuts, trims, and prunes trees, shrubs, bedding plants, and ground cover with the use of hand or power tools; eradicates weeds using both manual and mechanical methods such as: pulling, tilling, or using line trimmers; prevents weeds by mulching; calibrates, mixes and applies pesticides and herbicides according to manufacturer's instructions; installs irrigation and sprinkler systems by digging trenches by hand or with a tractor, lays and connects pipes, valves, sprinklers and controls, fills in trenches, and flattens or grades roads with bulldozer or road grader. Area Maintenance - removes leaves, brush, and debris using rakes, blowers, vacuums, and shovels from building roofs, sewers, utility tunnels, streets, and sidewalks; removes trash and litter from lawns, parking lots, building entrances, and adjacent roadways and sidewalks under agency jurisdiction; empties trash cans as needed; transports litter, plant debris, and trash to dump or incinerator by truck; removes ice and snow from walkways, parking lots, and building entrances with use of plows, shovels, blowers, or salt; cleans drains, catch basins, and gutters; removes stains and spills from parking lots and walkways; fills potholes; repairs benches and signposts; assists in the maintenance of athletic fields and facilities. Equipment Maintenance - troubleshoots and performs minor repairs on tools and equipment such as lawnmowers, chain saws, and blowers; refers major repairs to repair person; performs minor maintenance on grounds vehicles and power equipment by checking fluid levels, lubricating and cleaning after use; repairs and tests irrigation and sprinkler systems as needed; performs periodic cleaning of tool and shop areas. Miscellaneous - assists other departments as needed for special events or emergency situations. GROUNDS MAINTENANCE WORKER 2 (GMW2): Responsible for planning and coordinating the work of classified staff in the completion of assignments, applies expertise in a horticultural specialty that is utilized campus-wide, and provides landscape/maintenance program planning. Minimum Qualifications (GMW2): Pesticide applicator's license may be required based on position duties; AND Two years experience as a grounds keeper which included plant care; OR An Associate's degree in Landscape Technology or Horticulture; OR Completion of a Landscape Certification program or license in a horticultural specialty. Duties (GMW2): Employee oversight - Assigns work to other employees; assists supervisor by planning, assigning, and inspecting the work of classified staff in the unit, adjusts work assignments and schedules to maintain adequate staffing levels and responds to fluctuating workloads; monitors employee performance and provides input to supervisor; assesses training needs of staff and assists supervisor in providing appropriate instruction; assists in providing initial orientation to new employees. Plans, coordinates, directs, and trains the work of a grounds maintenance crew which may consist of lower-level grounds maintenance worker(s), laborers, students, and/or temporary employees. Landscape Maintenance - Plan Design. Plan, design, and install a landscape maintenance program. Typical tasks: designs, installs, and maintains irrigation and sprinkler systems which includes preparing the plans, specifications and materials lists, ordering parts and equipment, and ensuring the installation is done according to specifications; performs on-site inspections of work areas to determine landscaping needs and evaluates the quality of the work being done; takes and tests soil samples to determine the need for chemical additives or natural nutrients; identifies and diagnoses plant and lawn diseases and administers or directs the administration of the remedy; identifies specific areas appropriate to specific plant types and recommends planting and landscaping strategy to supervisor; reviews and interprets site plans and architectural drawings to determine planting or landscaping needs; reviews work plan with supervisor to set priorities and monitor goals. Specialty Assignment - Applies specialized skills in specific landscaping areas on a campus-wide basis, such as tree trimming, pesticide applications, or irrigation planning. Provides instruction to and inspects work done by others in the specialty assignment. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Southern Oregon University Laboratory of Anthropology works on several different archaeological projects under contract with various private, Tribal, state, and Federal agencies. This work is supervised by the SOULA director and is executed in the field in the lab by SOU students (paid as student or work-study labor), and by professional staff/individuals typically with a BA/BS in anthropology or a related field or equivalent professional experience. Individuals in these temporary staff positions are responsible for field survey and excavation, lab cataloging, basic analysis and data entry, GIS/GPS data processing, cartographic and graphic production, report writing and editing, and supportive supervision of student workers. This kind of position is ‘industry standard' in Cultural Resource Management (CRM), in both the private and University sector, and is explicitly understood to be temporary and ad hoc, even while employment extends over long periods of time. It has already become our practice to ‘share' qualified field and lab people with other CRM firms based on the availability and necessity of work. This is part of the standard career trajectory; those with undergraduate degrees work as temporary employees in a variety of settings and gain research and life experience that eventually helps them gain entry to graduate school, a full time position with a CRM entity, or whatever other role they eventually take on. The CRM firms, conversely, have access to a pool of qualified and enthusiastic workers to execute projects. Assignments typically make up the following classifications: Field Technician 1: This entry-level position is for recently graduated students or individuals with little to no experience in the field. Under this position, the applicants will serve as general crew, and assist in the field and/or lab under the supervision of SOULA staff.
