Job DescriptionSalary: Positive Growth, Inc. is a community-based organization that provides outpatient mental health services to children, youth, adults, and families. We provide individual, family, and group counseling for children, adolescents and adults with mental health/substance abuse diagnoses. Our agency is currently seeking one full-time clinical Mental Health Assessor (MHA) and one part-time Mental Health Assessor (MHA) to conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments for children, adolescents, and adults to determine the level of treatment required. The MHA identifies treatment needs and recommends treatment plans through the development of treatment goals based on information obtained during the assessment.Responsibilities also include trauma, suicide screening and other forms of assessments and evaluations. Role includes: Conducting initial consultations to gather clients information Asking questions and listening to help clients explore their thoughts and feelings Assessing clients emotional and mental health Formulating diagnostic impressions, and complete effective, S.M.A.R.T treatment plans. Complete and submit assessments and treatment goals in a timely manner according to state guidelines Develops recommendations and referrals for additional care, services, discharge and follow-up treatment Provides timely progress notes, develop treatment/service plans, identify appropriate treatment methods, and use a variety of applied psychotherapeutic techniques. Documenting completed assessment and treatment plan via BIRP notes submission Maintaining detailed confidential records Ability to work with a diverse population and open to learning and understanding different perspectives. Conducting mental health assessments and providing appropriate diagnoses Clinical paperwork, timely record keeping abilities and entry in EHR systems. Administration and compliance:Complete evaluations in accordance with DBHDD standards and regulations. Completes intake and assessment records and documents services in a timely manner and in accordance with DBHDD established timelines. Maintains strict confidentiality guidelines regarding all clients, conversations, and referrals. Qualifications: License preferred (APC, LMSW, LPC, LCSW, LAMFT, and LMFT) (2) years experience in the human services/clinical field--preferred Master's Degree in behavioral science or clinical field First Aid/CPR certification required Must be able to work autonomously and meet critical deadlines

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:Incumbents have responsibility for independently providing a variety of quality mental health services for individuals, groups and families. Incumbents are required to provide timely progress notes, develop treatment/service plans, identify appropriate treatment methods, and use a variety of applied psychotherapeutic techniques. Role includes: Conducting initial consultations to gather patient information Knowledge of culturalimpacts of mental health including the perception of health and illness, treatment-seeking behaviour and coping styles. Assessing patients emotional and mental health and developing treatment plans to meet them Asking questions and listening to help patients explore their thoughts and feelings Leading patients through mental exercises and role-playing activities when beneficial Counseling and advising patients on issues of importance to them Intervening with emergency care techniques and protocols when patients are in crisis Providing referrals for additional care or services when required Maintaining detailed confidential records EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES Meets with individuals, families, and groups in office, home, schools, virtually and community settings throughout the metro Atlanta and Dekalb areas to develop client centered service plans; provides direction for client mental health and community activities; assists clients with understanding their problems and developing plans to resolve them; provides a variety of Mental Health counseling and therapy for clients and their families; works with clients families to secure their cooperation in treatment programs; advises clients on available community resources and serves as a liaison with organizations and service agencies; makes referrals and other arrangements for client treatment and service, as necessary; serves as a consultant for other Mental Health staff; prepares and present progress reports on assigned cases; cooperates with professionals from other disciplines in the development of team and collaborative diagnoses and treatment programs; develops recommendations for discharge and follow-up treatment planning for clients and their families; provide billing reports and supporting documentation; maintain and update clients chart; may be assigned administrative responsibilities, including scheduling and case assignments; performs crisis intervention; performs involuntary hospitalization assessments and arranges for hospitalization, if necessary, may serve as an expert witness in court cases; attend Clinical / APS review meetings; attend assigned team meetings and case conferencing. The Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department applies ionizing radiation to a diverse population of patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. They must be capable of operating radiation-producing equipment utilizing radiation safety measures and be able to perform a series of complex and precise technical procedures. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Participates in Quality Control Monitoring a. Delivers consistent precise therapy to a designated treatment area. b. Demonstrates skill in patient assessment, performing procedures and giving specialty care to patients, considering the age of the patient and appropriately adopts care for age (adolescent, adult and geriatrics). c. Documents appropriately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) d. Demonstrates a willingness to perform additional tasks and gives assistance when necessary to others. e. Recognizes own limitations and/or needs and seeks assistance as needed. f. Reports adverse reactions to physician immediately and follows policy and procedure (P/P) for documentation. g. Educates patient/family on expected side effects, use of blocks, wedges and other treatment aids. h. Follows P/P to ensure precise treatment per physician prescription. i. Follows P/P to ensure precise treatment per physicist's instruction in chart or computer. Follows proper procedure to ensure safety to self and patient. a.
