1895 Postum Cereal Company founded C.W. Post makes his first batch of Postum, a cereal beverage, in a barn in Battle Creek, Mich., and starts the Postum Cereal Company.
1897 Grape-Nuts Cereal Postum Cereal Company introduces Grape-Nuts cereal, one of the first ready-to-eat cereals.
1904 Post Toasties Postum Cereal Company launches a brand of corn flakes, which becomes known as Post Toasties.
Initially, Postum had to be brewed like coffee, but in 1911, Post introduced a powdered, instant formulation.

1989 Honey Bunches of Oats Post Honey Bunches of Oats is introduced.
1989 Merger with Kraft Foods Philip Morris Companies merges General Foods with Kraft Foods, which was purchased by Philip Morris Companies in 1989.

1998 Resealable cereal bags In pursuit of even more convenience and freshness, Malt-O-Meal Co. introduces the resealable cereal bag.
2002 2002 Malt-O-Meal Company purchases the Quaker Bagged Cereal Business, transforming its cereal portfolio to one concentrated on large, value-sized bags.
2007 Ralcorp Holdings merger Kraft spins off Post Cereals and merges it with Ralcorp Holdings, creating Post Foods, LLC.
2007 2007 Premier Nutrition launches its first Premier Protein shake product.
2008 2008 Post Foods, a manufacturer, marketer and distributor of branded ready-to-eat cereal, splits-off from Kraft and merges with Ralcorp in a tax-free Reverse Morris Trust transaction.
Attune Foods is founded and later acquires the Uncle Sam and Erewhon cereal brands in 2009.
2010 Better Oats Malt-O-Meal Co. introduces the country to 23 flavors of instant oatmeal called “Better Oats.”
Malt-O-Meal Company later changes its name in 2012 to MOM Brands Company.
2013 2013 Post acquires the predominantly private label cereal and granola business of Hearthside Food Solutions and combines it with Attune Foods.
On November 1, 2014, Post Holdings acquired American Blanching Company, a manufacturer of private label peanut butter.
On October 5, 2015, Post Holdings acquired Willamette Egg Farms, a producer, processor and wholesale distributor of eggs and egg products.

2016 2016 Post acquires National Pasteurized Eggs, a producer of pasteurized shell eggs under the Davidson’s Safest Choice brand.
On July 3, 2017, Post Holdings acquired Weetabix Limited, UK based manufacturer of the Weetabix, Alpen and Ready Brek brands of breakfast cereals, from Bright Food and Baring Private Equity Asia for $1.4 billion.
2018-01 2018 Post acquires Bob Evans Farms, a producer and distributor of refrigerated potato, pasta and vegetable-based side dishes, pork sausage, and a variety of refrigerated and frozen convenience food items.
On October 17, 2019, Post Holdings brought its active nutrition business public – the business is now named BellRing Brands, Inc., which includes brands such as Premier Protein®, Dymatize® and PowerBar® and is traded under the symbol “BRBR” on the New York Stock Exchange.
