The Manager reports to the Director, Global Scientific & Regulatory Affairs What you will do: Innovation Support regulatory approval programs by coordinating documentation and timelines for GRAS and/or novel food submissions, and approvals for expanded ingredient use. Assist in preparing regulatory dossiers in collaboration with external consultants and internal stakeholders. Provide regulatory input to R&D teams to help guide project development and ensure compliance. Coordinate internal teams to support implementation of regulatory strategies and ensure compliance with established plans. Assist in managing submissions for food contact materials through the FDA food contact notification process. External Engagement Track and summarize regulatory trends and developments that may impact product innovation or compliance. Participate in industry working groups and support internal teams with insights from regulatory bodies and associations. Respond to customer inquiries regarding regulatory status and compliance of ingredients, with support from senior regulatory staff as needed. Compliance Interpret and apply U.S. food regulations to ensure product and labeling compliance. Identify and escalate potential regulatory risks to senior team members and assist in developing mitigation plans. Review product labels, ingredient names, and claims for compliance with applicable regulations. Support compliance with EPA TSCA requirements under the guidance of senior regulatory staff. Assist in maintaining regulatory documentation, including safety data sheets, raw material approvals, and FDA facility registrations. Contribute to the improvement of regulatory processes and documentation systems. Help deliver training sessions or materials on regulatory topics to internal teams. What you will bring: Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Food Science, Food Regulation, or a related field with 5-8 years of regulatory experience. Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks related to food ingredients, including GRAS and novel food processes, and a working knowledge of international regulations. Strong attention to detail and technical writing skills for regulatory documentation. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Willingness to learn and grow within the regulatory function. Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external partners. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with plant-based proteins, starches, and clean label ingredients is a plus.
