This position has the responsibility to comply with safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce safety as a core value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. This is an overnight position. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Produces the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost consistent with good manufacturing practices. + Provides a safe work environment for all personnel. + Recognizes and takes steps to resolve operating problems in order to minimize their impact on the operations. + Requests and directs services of maintenance, sanitation and other personnel as may be necessary to achieve the desired level and quality of production, sanitation, safety and warehouse services. + Cooperates with all departments to assure a coordinated work relationship exists at all times. + Responsible for ingredient usage and all other department costs. + Keeps accurate and up-to-date records (i.e. timecards, downtime records, absentee records, etc.). + Enforces company policies in a fair and consistent manner. + Encourages suggestions from employees which will improve production, quality, safety and/or control costs of production. + Keeps operations manager informed on operating and/or employee problems, quality, safety and/or control costs of production. + Maintains consistent communications and monthly department meetings. + Provides a safe working environment. + Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. + Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products. + Ensures regulatory compliance at all times. + Perform other duties as assigned. \#firstinpeople **Qualifications** **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:** + Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. + 2+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry. + Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and teaming skills. + Ability to prioritize and follow directions with little/no supervision. + Must have strong organizational skills and ability to do multi-functional tasks. + Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends when required + Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. + Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in group situations. + Ability to respond to questions from internal/external customers/vendors at all levels including management. + Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. + Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form. For more information about Bob Evans Farms, Inc., visit ************************ Responsibilities Production Line Lead or Room Lead - Day Shift 2-2-3 schedule * * Responsible for meeting production goals, managing room performance and overall product run a Production Line (Cook, Mix Fill, Case Pack) * Support start-up and change over actions of room while adhering to HACCP standards * Identify causes of downtime and complete trouble shooting to reduce downtime. * Data collection of production activities * Knowledge of production processes * Ability to operate machinery, identify proper machine settings and perform duties in absence of employee * Verify procedures and quality checks are followed and completed. * Report re-occuring issues/concerns/downtime to Line Lead or Shift Supervisor * Verify adherence to weight program * Coordinate training of new hires and current employees in room * Promote and maintain a safe working environment * Perform sanitation duties in room * Ensure completion and accuracy of production paperwork in room. * Other duties as assigned. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Working knowledge of complete production line and understanding of Lean Management principles and concepts. * Ability to use computer applications, including Microsoft products, Email, Oracle, Work order system * Solid understanding and application of all GMP's and Safety procedures * Ensure accuracy of data tracking. * Ability to use basic math skills * Ability to plan work load according to production schedule and requirements * Ability to recognize tasks that need to be completed and complete them. * Occasional heavy lifting of raw ingredients with a weight range of 40 -60 pounds. * Ability to use a pallet jack and powered lift. * Effective communication and teamwork skills * Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
