**Location Description**
Michael Foods, Inc. located in the Village of West Jefferson, OH, is located just minutes from the western suburbs of Columbus and about 20 minutes to the west of downtown. **Responsibilities**
This role will work overnights 6:00pm - 6:30am (48 hours one week [4 days], 36 hours the next [3 days]) This role works on the production floor and not just in a lab.
+ Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMP's, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately.
+ Attends and actively participates in daily shift huddles and handoffs.
+ Collect in-process and finished-product samples for analytical and microbiological quality checks.
+ Performs verifications of: Package coding, product weights, packaging integrity, labeling, temperature, sensory, etc. to verify compliance with customer and MFI's specifications and all others associated regulations for all products.
+ Inspect and sample incoming ingredients, ensuring product quality and safety.
+ Assist in drafting, revision, and maintenance of plant standard operating procedures.
+ Act as a liaison between Production, Distribution, Sanitation, Maintenance, and the Quality Department by communicating quality issues, assisting in corrective action implementation where necessary.
+ Participate in plant food safety/quality inspections, in-process inspections, mock recall, label audits, HACCP audits.
+ Verify proper set-up of production lines at start-up and shift change: Printer set-up (coding), packaging materials, labeling, quality limits, etc.
+ Review sanitary condition of production lines prior to start-up by visual and mechanical inspection, performing ATP (adenosine triphosphate / verify surface cleanliness) and APC (Aerobic Plate Count / Verify absence of microbiological organisms).
+ Perform pH analysis of samples as part of root cause investigations.
+ Use inventory control software to ensure non-conforming product does not enter commerce.
+ Assist in investigations in response to customer concerns or other quality related deviations to determine root cause and appropriate corrective actions.
+ Assist in the management of quality hold activities, including non-conforming product inventories.
+ Ensure lab equipment, fridges and thermometer etc. are properly maintained and calibrated.
+ Maintain and follow MFI micro sample and shelf-life study programs. Demonstrate an ownership of equipment, processes, and facility.

**Qualifications**
**EDUCATION:**

Job Purpose:
The Shift Controls Technician will support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of control systems within the plant. Designed for individuals with foundational knowledge in electrical and control/programming systems.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
3+ years of experience in electrical systems, automation, and/or related fields
Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs and/or motor control systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

Reactive Maintenance
Performs demand repairs on restaurant equipment and property as identified through work orders entered into MyTech-Connect
Proactively creates and completes work orders for critical issues found during restaurant visits not entered by operations
Preventative Maintenance
Performs preventative maintenance service as outlined in PM work orders
Creates work orders for needed repairs identified during PM.
Proper utilization of MyTech-Connect System
Ensures work orders are completed in the time frame identified by the priority codes assigned to the work orders by organizing and planning daily work load
Maintains accurate parts and company owned tool inventories
Ensures warranty process for company restaurants is followed
Reports the condition of equipment and property as well as maintenance status to assist with capital planning
Personal Development
Participates in Individual Development Planning process
Completes required safety training to comply with company guidelines
Stays current on industry standards

Expected Work Location (Field): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at Wendy's Restaurants or to other field locations as designated by the Company. * Work with a high degree of independence while performing PMs and repairs
